I cried with this movie at the end because at the time my mom was dealing with having cancer. So, I guess I just related to the story and I felt sorry for the guy as well at the end.

I'm so sorry for your mom- did she get well? I definitely won't forget this movie. I really loved it then and now. I just love it's simplicity and heartbreaking love story. Jamie was actually based on a real person - sister of Nicholas Sparks..

I absolutely remember this movie. It's one of my all time favs. One of the few that can actually make me cry. I didn't feel sorry for the guy at the end though. He got to experience, even though for a short time, what most people spend their entire life searching for. I love this movie!

I've just watched this a few weeks ago, for the first time. And it was no doubt one of my favorites because it is truly a heartfelt story. It is really nice to see how a good and religious person (the girl) can influence the inner emotions of a bad guy. I really find this movie memorable one.

I sure DO remember it and I also cried like a baby at the end. I think most of us can relate to a movie like that because unfortunately most of us have been touched by cancer. I can certainly understand how hard it must have been for you to watch while dealing with your mom's illness! I'm certainly glad to read she's doing well now. By the way, welcome to myLot! Annie
