I have gotten most of the housework done and now I can start scrapbooking and just staying in for the day. I might bake some brownies later otherwise just sit in my craft room scrapping my pictures from the last year. When it weather is bad...what activities do you participate in? Do you stay home or do you go out?

It has been cold here lately too and we have been mostly staying in unless we have to go out, but we just had a baby-- he is only just turning 3 months-- so we haven't been going out because we don't want to take him around big crowds just yet.
Also money has been tight so we don't have the money to go hang out and the malls and let the kids play in the play areas like we normally would.
this way I get to try to get in more computer time anyway.... as long as the kids are doing well watching movies, the baby is sleeping, and hubby has a project going I can focus on the computer.
Happy Mylotting, and have fun scrapbooking.

i PROBABLY WOULD NEVER get out if it was that cold here, lol. i'm glad u are able to stay in today. I go to church out in the country so was hesitant about trying it today. Got a raod report & they said the road was clear. my street is still snow covered but from what my son said yesterday it's the only one in town that is, lol.

It has been a cold winter so far. I wish I could hybernate but I can't. Yesturday I had to go to work in the morning, not a good morning. It started out with a flat tire. I told myself, ok I can handle this. I have an air compresser in the trunk. then I couldn't get in the trunk, it was frozen. I still said to myself, I can do this. I got my scraper out, scraped around the edges, pried the trunk open. Got the compresser out. Went to start the car, IT DIDN'T START, argghhhhh. Mind you during all of this its freezing out, about zero degress, of course chill factor much colder. On top of it all, its a brand new $100 battery. I won't tell you some of the choice words I was saying, lol. I called AAA, they came out quick, saved the day. The guy asked me how old the battery was and where I got it. he said I was sold the wrong battery, I should have gotten a bigger one. I am so hoping that my car starts tomorrow, we are having a heat way tomorrow, in the 20's. Tonight its going to be zero or below with dangerous wind chills, brrrrrr. I am so looking forward to spring.

It was cold and snowy once again today. Got about 2 more inches of snow. I did go out to our daughter's house for part of the day but then came home and got comfy. When we have blizzard like conditions I stay home and either do laundry or work on crafts. On a good day I do both at the same time. This is about the best I can do at multitasking!

You accomplished much more than I did today. Hsve fun cleaning up your craft room once again. We did have alot of snow the other day. More expected this week too. Hope we don't have any flooding when the piles melt. Am ready for Spring and warmer weather but am going to have to wait!

Yes, another cold one here too. Today it's 12 with wind chill -6, but tomorrow they said maybe down to -15, ugh.
I'll be staying in too as I really have no reason to go out, which I'm happy for. Eventually I'd like to start scrapping like you do but don't have any supplies that I need. My landlord is coming today to do a couple of repairs, so that should take up some time. I guess I'm not sure what to do yet with the extra time on my hands.
Are you looking forward to the spring craft sales?

In North Dakota? Is that close to you? Wow, that would be fun and yessiree, new territory! I bet you are sooo happy your daughter is moving closer, and it will be so much fun doing stuff together. Do you have any new idea's for your crafts this year like you usually do? You're such a crafty lady, lol!

Here in Warangal region(india, andhrapradesh) now it is a cool weather, very pleasant weather.
Majority of the functions and parties are doing now only. And there is no rain in this time, Sun is also looking so calm. And the agriculturer workers are also doing their works freely in this weather. It is the season to collect the agricultural products.
But unfortunately, in USA it is a bad time.

I woke up the other day to 23 below temp and 45 below windchill.
I avoid going out as much as possible when it's cold due to my bronchial asthma.
I play on the puter and Wii a lot when it's this cold.
And bake of course.
Having the oven on helps heat the house too. HAHAHA!

With the temp at around 5* F, I'm staying in. Haven't been out for over a week because of the cold except to run over to the next door neighbor's for a few minutes. I find plenty to do with myLot, Pogo, gather.com, several online groups & forums, reading (I've got about 4 books started), crossword puzzles, watching football, keeping up with the news both online and via TV, crocheting while watching TV, cooking and making brownies and pies and good stuff, playing with the animals and sometime sleeping. I find plenty to do and sometimes it's a toss up as to what I'll be doing at any given time. As long as it is as cold as it is, I'll be inside. These old bones can't take as much as they once did.

Hey jill! Looks like your weather is heading our way! In fact,
it will be here tomorrow and that's when me and the bf were going
to go grocery shopping. We don't have a car and the store in within
walking distance, slow, long walk, nice day, not below zero!
Even if we take a cab we will still freeze waiting for it back
from the store because we can't wait for it in the store and
be able to "see it". And in that kind of temps we will have to
wait even longer to get picked up to go home. I'm very upset
and frustrated at this point because I need cat food and litter
and some staples at this point. I am not much of a crafter, but
I actually do have a little silly project that I'd like to try.
I have a plastic box, like a recipe box that I'd like to cover
with this rubberlike stuff that I got in the $1 Store and some
felt clouds, stars, suns and stuff like that. I wanted to re-cover
the box and use it as my "watch box" in my bedroom. The colors
are perfect and I will line the box on the inside too so that
the watches will be "comfortable".lol

That sounds so cool opal! I hope it doesn't get as cold as we got....high for today was only 7....seemed hard to stay warm even with the furnace running every five minutes! I even baked some brownies this afternoon to warm up the house a little extra! Good luck on your project! Will you post a picture when you are done?

I cannot even visualise how cold that is. I am so sorry. I haven't seen snow since 1976 so it is so long ago.I know though that I would stay indoors and probably read or go online. To think that we were cold out here as the temperature actually went below sixty-five degrees
I actually slept under a thick bedspread for a few nights instead of my usual sheet. Keep warm and safe. Blessings

I am making homemade pizza with refrigerated crescent rolls, because someone got me hungry for it recently!!!! Hubby is doing home repairs so that usually means I hear my name called a lot. I'm dreaming up some low fat, diabetic recipes. Instead of a bread crust, portabella mushrooms, then some bobolli pissa sauce and Parmesan. I'll give it try during the next big cold snap. Next comes the spring rains.

I try to stay in when it's nasty out. I guess mostly it depends on my mood. I'm certainly not going to go sledding when it's that cold. But I might still want to go to the gym.. though lately I haven't been in the mood. Being so busy with school work and the excitement over the job has just totally worn me out and I don't have the energy to get to the gym!
