I gather from reading the Bible that once your breath(spirit) leaves your body you are no longer have a living soul. The Bible tells us that we return to dust where we will stay until Jesus comes again when he will give, those who have prepared themselves through Christ, their breath back and change their bodies from corruptible to incorruptible. They will be given immortality to live with him forever. I prefer that promise than going to heaven or hell especially hell. I know I don't want to be in heaven if I must see what is going on here on earth as the last days are not painted very pretty as you can see by reading Revelation. I don't think Mohammed painted them very pretty either.

I forgot to answer your first question. I see that comedians live for a long time so I think having humor can help. Also, eating good foods but not too much. Get moving at a good pace, spend time out in the sunshine and drink 8 glasses of water ever day if it is drinkable and try not to stress about what is going on in the world. What ever is going to happen is going to happen and there is only so much we can do about it.

This is not my opinion but I discovered that when we die our spirit will go directly either in Hell or in heaven where God lives forever and ever. when we die we will spend our eternity if not in heaven, it's in hell. and for sure, we can know where are we going when we die. how about you? where would you like to spend your eternity? in heaven or in hell? why?
