Is understanding the Continent?

There are continental Europe and Asia, but if viewed on a map of the Atlas of Europe and Asia is a continent of great body, even still connects with Africa. Indeed whether the understanding rather than the Continent, what is the basis to distinguish?

Continent is a vast land; (continental). In the beginning the earth was formed throughout the continent is a vast land, yet divided by a shift in the crust; mainland is called Pangæan supercontinent, during the Mesozoic is divided into two major parts in the southern hemisphere Gondwana and Laurasia in the northern hemisphere.
