I am actually not a person that love to read novels. If you give me newspapers or entertainment magazines I am very happy to read them all. Recently my friend suggested to me to read HUCKLEBERRY FINN, By Mark Twain. Well I am sure that some of you might laugh because it was a super old novel. SO far I am able to read the few front pages and I kind of like the story. I am sure I will be able to finish up the whole book well maybe not in a week but it might take me a longer time but one thing for sure I will be able to finish the reading until the last page. In your opinion, why do you think HUCKLEBERRY FINN, By Mark Twain is one of the famous novels in the world?

Hi Alokijon, I read Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer a couple of times many years ago. They were very very good stories and gave us an amazing account of how things were between black and white people back in those days. I don't think it is weird at all that you would want to read this book. I think you'll love it. Afterwards, you should read Tom Sawyer.

Well my friend actually triggers the attention to read it. Yes I can see that the beginning of story is already interesting. About Tom Sawyer, is it connected with Huckleberry Finn? So sorry because I am not an avid reader. :-)

It's been years since I read the books but I do think the two stories are connected. Both were by Mark Twain and if I remember right, I think that Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn were buddies. Now between you and the news article that I read on this yesterday, I'll have to go check out the books and re-read them. I think it was the 60's when I read them...long time ago!

I am done with Chapter 2. Will be reading Chapter 3 after this but oh my God I have limited time to keep on reading because I am kind of busy with lots of works. The problem with this novel is that it makes you wanna keep on reading. Some of the words are a little confusing such as 'warn't' and so on. Ermm I wonder whether they really kill their gang's member if the ever tell the secret of their society. Very interesting indeed.

I think the book is suitable for everybody. I myself not sure about it but after I scan a little bit the whole book, I feel that it is not an 'adult' book. But again, I hope those who have read this book can comment on your question. Happy reading ya.

I really think that it is one of the classics of literature. I had to read it for a literature class in the seventh grade or so. It seemed to be a pretty good book all things considered. Then again, it has been many, many years. Therefore my tastes have been changed since then and I might not really enjoy it all that much, but it is one of the classics. I do think that it is very much a product of the time it was in. So don't really go into it, thinking of it as you might think of a novel of today. That way, you can enjoy the quality for what it is, instead of something that it is not. Still an extremely intriguing book and one of the classics. I personally believe that it is one that everyone should read at least once.
