Do you know people that would benefit from a 'near-death experience'?

I was watching some Frasier reruns over the weekend, and I saw the episode where Niles had a 'near-death experience'. After coming out well from his surgery, he had a new zest for life. He started appreciating the 'little things' more.
I was just thinking...
There are a few people around me that I know could benefit from a near-death experience. I know that it sounds a bit morbid, but I just wish they'd be given a 'wake up call' so they could start appreciating the people around them. And the things that they already have in life.
Sometimes I forget to appreciate things too. I am not saying that I need a near-death experience, but I once in a while, I need that nudge.
How about you? Do you have people around that need wake calls? Or worse, do you know of people you hate that would benefit from a near-death experience.
Have you stopped and smelled the roses, lately?

Just in general, cranky, negative, whiny people could probably use one!
