Hi balu,
Welcome to mylot!
Are you able to fry some diced onions and make some rice? If so, cook for 5 minutes (not more) your seafood, fry the onions, make your rice adding the water where you cooked the seafood to the rice and at the very end place the seafood over it.
To this you can add diced sweet pepper, small bits of diced carrots if you so wish and the spices you prefer. Go light on spices until you learn.
I can send you more PM or in other post
Happy posting!

It IS easy. And there are lots of easy dishes to make with seafood. The one thing you should not do it is to overcook it because some of them become leathery.

How about steam fish. If you want you can try this.
Get a red snapper. Remove all the inner part and scale. Prepare shallot, garlic, ginger and preserve mustard then slice them thinly. Put it inside the fish stomach and the remaining put it on the top and side of the fish Remeber to add salt for taste and MSG if you want to use it.
Then just put it inside the steamer. Once cook it is ready to be eaten. I always steam fish this way and I think you might like it.
