I know sometimes everyone one of us Mylotters Post a Response on a Discussion. Sometimes we put a long talk into it and type so much. In the end when you go check back on it no one comments back. (Well the person that Post the Discussion doesnt comment back) To me it upsets me a little because I would like to discuss the problem or issues or what ever the discussion is about.

I don't get upset but I do get a little saddened when the 'Discussion Owner' doesn't bother to come back and comment or just says 'Thanks for responding'. That, to my mind, is not a 'discussion' ... it's just a 'question and answer session' (at best). MyLot is about discussion and about quality ... that is, descriptive, meaningful and relevant posts. You might post a topic (good bad or indifferent ... just so long as it's not against the Guidelines) and people may post good quality responses but unless YOU can reply with good quality comments, it is just NOT a discussion. As I have said, I am not upset. I just think that those people who don't comment back just don't understand what MyLot is about and that makes me sad.

Hey Owlwings, I understand what you mean. if its not consider as a discussion then just isnt one. I guess you are when you say if people dont comment they just dont know what a discussion is well the rules of mylot way of thinking what a discussion is haha. To me I dont comment all of them if there is 10+ I try my best to but if I wake up and there is too many to comment i just give all of them a [+] i give a [+] to everyone. :)

Usually no but I'm still quite new here so I'll probably expereince it more as my time on mylot goes on. Although with some of the discussions I've started I do wonder why someone with more knowledge of something than me doesn't take the time to comment on or to offer some kind of advice.

Sorry I read that wrong there but I hit post instead of delete. But yeah I do know what you mean when you've taken the effort the least you could expect is a reply on your comment. You could have ignored someone's topic altogether and left them with either no advice or any help on some aspect.

yeah, over time you will start noticing it I understand if its when you have too many respones and there are just too many to comment back to. Just if there arent that many I would want the person that started the discussion to leave a comment. Sometimes I put a lot of advice into my respones if noy my opinion or thought into it and got nothing out of the person who started it lol. I dont flip out or anything but, I just get al little upset sometimes.. lol.

Yeah if you really given a lot of advice there should be at least a thank for the comment or something another alternative would be for mylot to introduce a thank you button of some sort say for discussions that get far to many response to comment back on them all least that way you could quickly say thanks and avoiding the situation of leaving someone out the specific discussion. There isn't a thank you button, is there just in case I've missed it? lol

No response is one thing really disgusting especially if you believe you posted a good topic. Nevertheless, we can't do anything if nobody cares to comment. Just don't despair and try posting another topic and don't stop till you make one big hit.

Hey Salonga, yeah you seem to have a stronger point of view about people not responding. To me yeah when you post something so good and time and part of yourself into something you had a strong opinion. Doesnt get any response makes you feel like no one cares about your opinion in the end like I said to the response above you you earn from it they dont haha.

You can't let yourself become upset by no comments to your responses. People can only reply back to what captures their interest. You can't force participation.

sender we all owe some allegiance to our friends who took time to respond to our discussions.if we do not comment back how will we earn money as we are not paid for their responses they typed them and they get paid. why make a discussion if you do not Keep it going by commenting as I said again and again YOU DO NOT GET PAID FOR OUR RESPONSES, YOU ONLY GET PAID IF YOU MAKE COMMENTS BACK.GOT THAT?yES WE CAN GET UPSET AS YOU ARE TOLD IN THE GUIDELINES YOU MUST COMMENT BACK TO MAKE IT A DISCUSSION IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO DO THIS WHY MAKE THEM AS THEY ARE NOTRDISCUSSIONS UNLESS THE OWNER DOES COMMENT BACK.

Hey Hately, ummm is everything okay you seem mad. almost about nothing a choice people make. this is a discussion not a debate lol. Personally yeah I know that we do not make from there post we only make money from the post that we make that is a fact. if the person comments back then yes you earn more as you keep on posting over and over mylot is base on participation.

It seems to be a never ending situation at times as many are not aware that posting a discussion is not a discussion. I have many on my friend list which I do my best to steer them the right way. After so much effort trying to help, yet still see the same pattern, I do not get upset, rather more like disappointed.

Hey Mariner, to me if you have alot of respones in your discussion that it has became pages then at least do the first 10 and rate the others as [+] thats what I do if I have too many but I do try to answer all of them ASAP. to me the best time to get them is when they are coming in like now. instead of going to sleep and waking up in the morning. Then you see like 10 plus respones and it seems like a job to answer all of them back which is .. a lot to respond to. So attack them early start a discussion when you have the time to respond to them ASAP. I would tell anyone that. New Old, whom ever to taje it easy.

When i respond to a discussion, I think it would be friendly for the poster of that discussion to reply. However, real life take precedence over our internet lives, so i do appreciate that it's not always possible. It would be nice if they could return at some point in the future to do it though.

Hey Greenmoo, I read that some people dont have time to answer back and sometimes they answer back but in like a week or week or even in a few days. I think yes its nice to do that but after all that time. No one is going to answer back after you reply because they are going to think you didnt read it or care. So in the end its almost a waste of time. yes you earn from t but there isnt much you can do and you will get a notice on your email but why answer back so late i would but, im sure many wont.

That annoys me too.. It's got to the point that if its a fairly new user I go and look to see if they respond to their responders..(on their other topics) Many who create TONS of Discussions a day.. DO NOT RESPOND BACK.. If I see that they don't generally respond I don't usually WASTE my time typing a response to them because I like you get frustrated that I don't get a response back.. it can only be considered a discussion once that happens. And this is after all a DISCUSSION site.. ARGH! I'm going to go pull out some hair now..

Hey Minx, haha dont pull out your hair. all I see is as there lost not ours lol. but I know what you mean I was telling the other people that the new people that dont know that its good to respond back. they even earn from it. Like you said how can you have a discussion with not comment back and discussion takes a two person thing at the least. If they dont respond back it makes you feel like you type all that for nothing. This makes the purpose of a discussion being just like an article and little comments and thats it. (BORING)

Well I can not say I'm upset though, maybe a bit sad because the point in starting a discussion for me is to received responses from co-members either through their own experience which could serve as an advise or in their own opinion. The problem is some who post a response to a discussion never looks back if his/her response have been answered by the member who post the topic. So the discussion stops there once the responder don't answers back. Here in mylot all things are discussed as long as it's within mylot guidelines.Happy Mylotting to all

Yup, when you have too many and they come all at once then try your best to deal with it and comment as much as them as you can like I did. But if I fall asleep and come to find out that there are like 10 new ones I wont really answer them all too much time but, I do off and on. just when the traffic on one discussion is too much to handle even for the most fastest typer. Its just a lot to type and looking at the number of post doesn't help either haha.

I am like you, payout, when I enter in a discussion, it is for discussing. It is common sense. Some are beginning discussions in "blind mode" : I am sure that they don't read or even receive the notifications of the responses. After 3 discussions without seeing any comment to the same member, I ended a last response two or three weeks ago by something like "would you condescend to comment a response sometimes ?" with no result . Some are reading, but I don't understand how I can get a best response without a word of comment ? After one year here, I respond first to the discussions of my friends that are inspiring for me, and less to those of beginners. I am not upset by this behavior -- except if they make a friend request to spam my notifications --, but if I see that a member never replies to anybody in a discussion, I prefer to jump in a box and have some fun in another discussion than to do my best to give a response that, at the best, will be read.

Hey topffer, without any comments to our responese kills the purpose and meaning of Discussion. myself im not perfect but I try my best to reply to every respones if there are too many I will pull my hair out haha. I do rate everyone. :) so be happy [+] for everyone haha. To me the best discussions are the discussion that go back and forth. Thats what makes you want to go look at what they said and it becomes a Discussion/ Conversation going on. It makes it all the better and interesting haha

When others take the time to respond to your discussion, i feel you are obligated to at least comment back even if you don't reply to all of your responses. Why should i even bother to answer or comment on someones discussion if i know , the poster doesn't even care whether i do or not. What i do is, if i read a discussion that has many reponses and i see that the discussion starter didn't bother to comment on any of them,i will just leave the discussion without leaving any response at all. Sadly, these types of discussions are posted every day and it seems to me people just don't read the guidelines or just don't care, so, i say why should i.

Hello Jujunme, I understand your point of view. I think the same way same time but more in a personal level. lol. I think the new people need to take more time to read the Guidelines but to be honest I skip that part to as well IM sure that bad words are allow on mylot and everyone knows that haha. However being Here for nearly 4 years things arent going to really change I guess just be happy and post even thought you might be disappointed in the end. What everyou type you earn from it and what ever they type they earn from it. So in the end you keep posting and checking back on your old post and see if they wrote back and if they didnt over a period of time just forget it. In the end. you will earn and enjoy yourself in the end once you get your first payout here you will be super happy believe me hhahah I sure was haha take care and happy mylotting

Sure it kind of stinks when you take the time to type out a question especially one that you really want the answers to and then nobody responds, that of course makes me upset. It is hard to think up things to ask as it is and then if nobody even responds then it makes me feel bad and like I wasted my time. I notice some people ask really specific questions that a lot of people might not know about like questions about a certain book. I always try to ask questions everyone can answer.

I don't let it upset me, because I feel that if they don't want to comment back then it is on them, not me, as I did my part. I do however, think it is rude not to comment back, as if a user is going to take the time to read the discussion and respond, then they should be at least willing to comment back, and if they don't they are tho ones that don't earn. I think that some feel they don't have to comment back as they will earn from the responses they receive, but that is so far from the the truth, and if they would read the guidelines they would know that. I know I comment back, as I just worry about myself and no one else. You are right though, that it is nice to keep the discussion going, and by responding and another commenting keeps it going. good luck to you and happy mylotting.

Honestly I think yeah that many people think that you earn from the responses and amount of response to your discussion, not only some of the new pele but even some of the old ones that have been here for sometime haha. Overall I think yeah it can seem rude and to me it's there lost in the end because they decided to do that hey they can search forever looking for a good discussion lol. It's good keeping a discussion going because you have a good conversation or other words discussion haha lol plus you earn. I don't really mind if the discussion starter doesn't comment back on my response because perhaps he's just busy or perhaps my response doesn't require a comment back. Either way I don't lose anything. Because if the person who started the discussion had bothered to comment back, he's the one who will increase his earnings and if he doesn't comment back then he's lost the chance to earn.

Hello Celeste, that can be another reason why sometimes why people don't respond to discussion but the discussion is about people that do respond the discussion maker doesn't answer or reply other words comment back. But yeah to me getting upset might be a little to much. I guess your advice is well to only discuss people people that are willing to have a discussion. Hello Koikei, Greetings, haha, Yeah I understand I think most of us dont really take it personal lol. Yeah thats what I said, For us to start a discussion/ conversation it will at least take 2 people interaction. without that then you dont have a discussion but some information or a just some text with. a comment. that is not care for. Maybe your right, maybe they ran out of words or there is too many to reply back to. or maybe there is nothing else to say and so they dont reply back but if there is 10 or more or maybe like even 5 and there is no answer or reply or comment. Then they just leave it the way it is. :) Overall like I have been saying just post and enjoy yourself. No matter what.
