Sensitive teeth...?

I've had a problem with super sensitive teeth for a while now. I go to the dentist convinced I've got 10 cavities, but they tell me I don't. Apparently my teeth are just worn down from grinding them... my issue is that my teeth are so sensitive, and in so much pain, but the dentists wont do anything about it because they say I don't have cavities! So, I use sensitive teeth toothpaste... which helps sometimes, but not for the piercing, cavity type pain that I keep feeling. I've started Sensodyne Pronamel... hopefully it starts to work. I don't drink anything, really, except water, so the acidity in pop/soda can't be the reason... ANYWAY... My question is, does anyone else have this problem? Can you relate? And what do you do about it?

hey try using some of those Enamel Repair mouthwashes you can buy in the store. Using them daily can rebuild the structure of your teeth.

My father-in-law had issues with this and it actually ended up being a problem with his ears. I know it sounds crazy, but the dr said that sometimes ear pain can be transferred into your jaws or teeth and you won't even have any pain in your ears. Maybe it's a longshot, but I would at least talk to a regular dr about it since you didn't get any answers at the dentist. Good luck!

I can see that.. since grinding your teeth puts pressure onto your whole skull. I've been trying to control how much I grind my teeth, but I know I do it out of stress... Thanks for your response! I never thought of that.
