Diet pop and an upset stomach

I am diabetic and lately I have been noticing when I drink diet pop I start to feel sick to my stomach. I do drink water, juice and milk too. I am thinking perhaps I should cut out the diet pop. Does anyone else start to feel sick to their stomach after drinking diet pop?

If that drink made you sick, then I think you should avoid any sweet drinks... I haven't experienced feeling anything weird or sick when I drink those kinds of stuff though. Maybe it really had something to do with you being diabetic..

That has never happened to me, but that honestly does not sound like a very good sign. So yeah, you should probably at least consider cutting down on the stuff if that is how it makes you feel!

It is the aspartame in the diet sodas. They used to be worse in the days when they contained saccharin which is a known carcinogen. I would recommend giving up the diet soda. If you really need something "bubbly" try a soda water or flavored water that is marked sugar free. Your best bet though being diabetic is to try to switch to green tea. Green tea has been shown to help lower and stabilize blood sugars. Namaste-Anora

I years ago use to drink diet soda and it use to cause upset stomach as well. So best to avoid it as I did notice after I no longer had it that it was the cause for me too.
