Friends, it is a matter of great shame, that as Indians we are not able to hoist our own national flag in our own country, on the republic day. As patriotic Indians we have to protest this. As an Indian one must be free to hoist the National flag in any part of India, let it be Kashmir or KanyaKumari or even Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Your valuable views on this.

I am with you and I do protest against this. I think our government run by UPA has no right to stop BJP from hoisting National Flag in Srinagar. They are just supporting terrorists in J&K.

I do not know about the particular incident to which you referred, but it reminded me of problems that some people here in the USA where homeowners wanted to fly the stars and stripes but were prevented from doing so by their home owners association.

The incident you have mentioned is quite bad. One must never stop others from flying the national flag. Regarding our problem, Jammu and Kashmir, has always this problem, and this is a Muslim majority state, who never accepted India. They always wanted to join Pakistan. For this they massacared the minority Hindu population, who were living there for thousands of years. But the central government, kept quite because of the pressure from the Muslim groups.Even now, if the Hindus are killed nobody raises their voice, but when a single Muslim is killed, the entire Muslim community rises up, and they are supported by their friends Al Queda. &
