It is so easy to see a whale on TV or Movie but it is not easy to see a real one.It really depends on where you live in this world, If you are living near the ocean, then it is not difficult for you to see a real whale in the sea. But if you are living near the inland, then it is going to be hard for you to see a real whale. I have one experience to see a real whale by chance.I once travel to New Zealand and took a ferry to a nearby small island from Aukland city. While the ferry was leaving the island and getting ready to go back to Aukland, three to four killer whales just shown up and jumping around close to the ferry.people are just so excited and took a picture as soon as possible. How ever, there were one passanger said : I don't like them , they eat people!" Ha ha ha... That's my story and my number 500 posts on mylot. What about your experience? Share with us.

I've seen them a couple of times, one time on Iceland and one time in New Zealand. The last time I felt quite literally very, very seasick. Nice views, cool bird, but I hated those catamaranes. I much prefer the fishing boat we went out with on Iceland.
I didn't travel down the coast here in Norway when Keiko was splashing around in a fjord there, looking for company he knew. Poor thing. I really don't think they should have let him loose, they could have built him a much bigger pool for less money and maybe given him some live fish etc, but he really wasn't fit to be free. Too late.

I have never seen a real whale in person! I only seen them in books,in movies and on tv. I live in the Midwest of the USA so we don't see alot of whales around!
I sure would like to see real whales on a whale watching expedition someday! That would be so awesome!

i haven't actually seen a real whale before considering the fact that i live in a city miles and miles away from the nearest ocean. but i have seen them on tv, movies, and documentaries (specifically in national geographic and discovery channel). i find them so majestic. they are so graceful in the water, how they swim, alone or in groups, in the vast ocean. i'd love to see real whales up front and even swim with them if given the chance (although i would probably be afraid now learning that they eat people..hahaha).

Congratulations on your 500 posts. I think I saw a killer whale at Cedar Point but I don't remember much except there was probably a pretty girl who fed it out of her hands.
