Many of us who are reading the Bible, are now in the end of Exodus or have finished it. I came to the last chapters yesterday. I loved to read about when Moses was rescued as a baby and later when Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and told him to let God´s people go. What followed was a fight between the True God and the false gods of Egypt. We all know who won. And what about the following verses from Exodus chapter 14 (Young's Literal Translation): "29And the sons of Israel have gone on dry land in the midst of the sea, and the waters [are] to them a wall, on their right and on their left; 30and Jehovah saveth Israel in that day out of the hand of the Egyptians, and Israel seeth the Egyptians dead on the sea-shore, 31and Israel seeth the great hand with which Jehovah hath wrought against the Egyptians, and the people fear Jehovah, and remain stedfast in Jehovah, and in Moses His servant." These are a few of the great stories, but there are more, so please tell me what you remember best!!

did you know that the Red Sea was originally called the Reed Sea? It is a wonderful story of the greatness of our God.My favourite story in the new testament is the road t Emmaus. I have others but this one really affects me. And of course I should not call it a story as it is Gospel. No time to respond in the way that I would like. Very busy at work. Blessings

Yeah, who can forget about Exodus. The basis of our faith start here. The 10 commandment, promise land, terbenacle and consecration of priest. It all here. The law start here also. When we look deep into exodus, it is more about the start of the law. It is how GOD protect His people. No matter what, GOD is there with us. Eventhough there is a lot of unbeliever in the group of Israel people, it show when they make their own idol when Moses was receiving the 1st ten commandment tablet, God is still there protecting them. God can just turn His back on them but God is there with the Israelite. What if we have faith in Him and work for Him, GOD will love us and His great protection and blessing will be rest upon us.

Yes, you are right, God can protect us, whatever nation we belong to - and as the Bible shows us we are no longer under the ceremonial law of that time, but under the law of love. Just as God saved his people that time, He can save us when he ends this wicked system and starts the righteous New World. Thank you for your response..

The whole story is one we all know, I am sure, but the part that stands out for me is when Moses went up on Mount Sanai and God revealed the Ten commandments to him, God's Ten commandments, as he wrote them with his own finger, and I am not sure that everyone realized that. A lot like to think that Moses wrote them, but he didn't. The Ten Commandments are a looking glass that points out our sins. I don't know what I would do without God or the Bible. Take care, and May God Bless You.

Looks like many did not understand what was going on as they made Aaron meke a golden calf for them - no wonder Moses got frustrated. God gave some great commandments to his people, and the principles in them are still valid in our days even if we are not under the law that was given to Israel. Jesus taught us to love God and our neighbours and that includes so many things. If all followed this, we would have a great life now. But as the Bible promises the earth will soon be a much better place to live on.
