I currently have Nokia N70 and Nokia 6600. Thou both are in perfect good conditions, N6600 has gone almost to Vintage and N70 has got 3 years of its service life and i am planning to retire it and buy a new one. I am a photography freak. I recently bot a Canon DSLR (and an old konica camera). The problem is, i cant take both my N70 and canon camera wer ever i go. So i decided to buy out a new phone with good camera. My budget is Rs.24000max (Around $520). I hav these 3 mobiles in mind - Nokia N8, Altek Leo and Samsung w880 12M(SCH-M8920) Now the things are- Nokia N8 - is good phone and my favorite manufacturer and also costs to my budget and is also the only phone released from above 3. But the problem is, it looks as usual touch phone and outer looks has 'no special'. No one can even know it has 12MP camera in it. Samsung M8920 - is the phone which i can say 'love at first sight'. Its spl in camera with all camera features like dial button, zoom button and 3x optical zoom like a normal Digi cam. But the problem is, its still not yet released and is still even rumored and also would costs around Rs30000 which is out of my budget. Altek leo - is also good is camera with similar camera pop out lens like M8920, 14MP, 5x optical zoom and also would cost around Rs.22000. But the problem is, its too not yet released. I need to buy a new one within 5 more day. My Question is, as many say N8 is good, Should i go for it rit away? Or as i am interested in optical zoom with pop out camera lens like digi cam in Samsung and altek, should i wait for some more time and buy Altek or Samsung? Info - Altek is announced to be released in Q1 of 2011. Samsung w880 was released in Korea alone but the worldwide M8920 is still under rumor section and as it was told it would release in Q3 of 2010, it is Q1 of 2011 and is still not clear. What should i do?? Help..........

I can say from experience that the N8 has a beautiful camera. Remember, its not the resolution that matters as much as the image processor that is used under the hood. Unless you are going to be printed really large-scale photos (bigger than 24*18 inch), then you don't need the 14MP resolution. And even then, would you really consider printing such large photos from a phone camera as opposed to a handheld or an SLR? You really need to analyse why you want the phone. All the cameras will give you images that look good on your phone screen, computer screen or even an HDTV (at 1920*1080, has the same pixel count as a 2MP camera). I realise this is not the answer you would be looking for, but this is something that my sister had the same dilemma with, and she chose the phone with the largest resolution, and regretted it for the rest of the duration of her contract.
