I am currently look everywhere for a new laptop. Some of my friends are telling me to get a macbook pro because of how "cool" it is. I really have my on a a sony vaio. I want a laptop thats easy to manage, able to get all my school work done, and good with internet as well. Price is really not a problem for me but i'd like to know which brands and laptops are better. Reviews on your laptop or desktop are good too.im not really smart when it come to laptops, but i really want a laptop thats worth what im going to pay for it. Any thing on laptops is helpfull thanks...

Hello torres216 and welcome to myLot! As far as laptops go it all depends on what you are interested in doing with them, Macs are great and they have plenty of features but as far as program flexibility... there may be things you can do on a pc that you cant do on a Mac. If you are just going to be doing school work on your computer then I suggest going with a pc laptop, they get what you need done and as long as you aren't doing anything illegal on your laptop then you shouldn't be worried about viruses. For example, Macs are great when it comes to design because of their processing power and user interface when it comes to running programs like photoshop or illustrator. But if you are just doing word documents and surfing the web then there is no need for such an expensive computer. I personally use a dell and am looking at upgrading to a dell XPS laptop because of their performance capabilities. I believe they also have a few sales going on with the XPS right now as well. Hope that helped!

There are a number of different brands. The one I have been using is Toshiba satellite. I have been using it for a number of years now, and I am very satisfied with it. I travel a lot on business trips, and I take it along whenever I travel. Very light weight, fits well in my briefcase too.

You said that money is not a problem then I suggest you get a mac. It is easy to manage and you wont have much problems with viruses. Compatibility issues is no longer a problem as there is a Microsoft Office for Mac that was recently released. And the Mac is really user friendly. If for some reason you prefer an (IBM/PC) compatible laptop, I suggest you get a toshiba over a vaio. Most professionals use Toshiba for a reason. Just my opinion! Hope this helps you somewhat.

If money doesn't matter to you, a macbook might not be such a bad idea. They can do must of the stuff a PC can do except the look prettier and get pretty much no viruses. I've never personally had a macbook though, those are just the things I hear about it. I personally use an HP with Windows 7. They're really good for school work, and if it's one of the new ones it's pretty fast on the internet. I heard macbooks are more "user friendly" but to me they actually seem a little more annoying (maybe that's just because I'm not used to them though...).
