It is very difficult to be truly one's self when you are in the midst of situations where you want to fit in, or want to please others, or want to be accepted by others no matter what, and many other everyday instances. We become mirror of others that we become confused with who we really are in the process. To be true to one' self could mean being different, not conforming, being unique. And this is difficult especially where we are always told to conform or risk alienation. Needs real courage. But it is a challenge and could be rewarding if one succeeds. Cheers, lienrose.
