In real life you might have heard lots of paradoxical statements for example don't go near the water 'til you have learned how to swim.I want to learn swimming....here it is a change, but, invariably, we are told not get into water, it is dangerous....fear for change? What do you think?

I have been a certified swimming instructor and lifeguard for 8 years. I went through a lot of training to get my certifications, and I have had a lot of experience. Water can be VERY dangerous for people who do not know how to swim. If you want to know how to swim (and it is lots of fun!) you should seek out a certified instructor to teach you in a safe environment. That way you can learn quickly without danger. Even very experienced swimmers like myself should never go swimming alone, but always with a friend who knows how to swim. The reason for this is, you could get a leg cramp, or bump into something that knocks you unconscious, or have a heart attack, or something else that greatly reduces your ability, and if you are alone, you could still drown. I do encourage you to learn how to swim with an experienced instructor though. It is fun, it is great exercise, and it will reduce your danger of getting into trouble around water.

I don't think it's literally meant don't go swimming. It's a reminder for young people not to try things they have little or no knowledge at all. You can try new thing, but first you must know where's you're heading. Change is different, it happens and must be always ready to accept it. Parodox in life are old sayings that guide people in dwelling life!
