Hi Tanya, since you have not get yourself checked by a doctor, please tell me: Do you have pain in your half head or in one side of head? Do you feel extremely severe pain which is pounding and throbbing in nature? Do you feel preceding symptoms like light flashes or other aura? If the answer is yes, then it is really migraine, otherwise not. You must be taking medicines like pain killers, so I am listing some home remedies for you. 1. Message your head and forehead -- It has been proved best method against migraines as it increase the blood circulation to the head and brain and thus relives pain. 2. Use aroma therapy --Use oils of lavender, peppermint, eucalyptus. You can easily find them in market. Put them in water, dip a cloth or towel and place it on your head. It is also very effective in migraines. 3. Grape Juice -- Juice of grapes is very effective in curing migraines. It has natural powers of treating migraines and has been used in our country, India, for this purpose. 4. Eat vitamin C fruits -- vitamin C has been effective in treating migraines. All citrus fruits have vitamin C. You can also have lemon juice for this. 5. Ginkgo -- you get ginko tablets from any homeopathic or alternative medicine store or from nutritional supplement store. It also increases blood flow and treats migraines. Try these remedies and your migraine will go away in a few weeks to month. Please Note: Don't take too much pain killers; they have side effects. They can make you constipated and damage liver. Also get checked up by doctor to make sure you have migraine.
