Peace Lilly help

When my Mom died in '09 the nursing home sent a peace lily to us. It was a lovely plant, but in months that followed it started to loose it's life and luster. So I bought it a larger pot and new soil and it seemed to be ok. In recent months it's started to slide down hill. I keep it on a desk tward the middle of the house within natural light & not direct sunlight I usually water it 1-2x a week. I know I'm not perfect in watering it on a schedule but I do try to keep it watered.
Anyone know what else I am lacking? Would plant food make any difference? Or any secrets to keep a peace lily going?

My understanding is that direct sunlight is what they need to thrive, I have used plant spikes which help with their nutritional blooming.
Sorry to have read your of your mothers passing, my sincere belated condolences.

hi 3SnuggleBunnies I thought Peace Lily is a bulb plant and are blooming it will go dormant for a certain length of time so yuu let them rest when planted outside and then at the right time it will start the whole cycle all over again. I know other lilies do not keep going forever as they have a dormant period
. let me mylot search and get back

If you are watering with tap water that may be the problem, I have that problem and so give mine only bottled water, I also wait until it wilts to water, these things seem to work, I have had mine for many years.
