In order for computer users to transact with confidence online, it has become increasingly important for them to protect personal and confidential data like their passwords,credit card numbers and account information.What are people doing to protect this valuable data?

If I have to log in any web-page requiring my personal data, I will carefully check whether the website is correct, because I have learned that some web-cheaters will counterfeit the normal web-page, the only difference between them is the URL, and the fake one may steal personal data.

I change my password every other day, sometimes daily just to prevent my account from being hacked. I've taken this extra measure because my Friendster account was hacked before. Since then I made a point to change my password every other day.
