Scottish kilt in a traditional Filipino wedding

I had just attended the wedding of my cousin a few hours ago. She married a British national. Her husband's best man was Scottish, and he really made an impression on all the guests. He wore the traditional highland clothing - Scottish kilt and all. For a lot of us, it was the first time that we saw someone wearing kilts in person. I for one have only seen it on television. It's a pity that I didn't get my picture taken with him. Would you wear your country's traditional clothing to a wedding?

My country doesn't really have traditional clothing. Personally I wouldn't be caught killed in a kilt. My legs weren't ment for public display .

Haha! But I think they wear knee-high socks. Well, you're from the US and I think you usually wear a suit and tie or a tux for such an occasion. Hmm, come to think of it, I never realized that Americans do not have traditional clothing.

If your in the wedding party then tuxes or suits are common. The rest of the witnesses could be wearing almost anything.

It just comes to show how people can become patriotic and proud of their country, yes the Scottish kilt and the tartan pattern that I think show something about ancestry is an awesome site to see. Hope Filipinos would be as proud wearing the Barong Tagalog and the Saya, it's also very beautiful.
