I can't explain it but those little pets I have (The hamsters)makes my tiring day better everything I see them and touch them and knowing they are there beside me.I do have dogs as well and it's feeling great as I watch them, can't feel the stress anymore and sometimes forget heavy problems I have.Do you also feel the same?

Over the years there have been several studies about the effects of pets. It seems that those who have pets actually live longer and happier than those who don't! Something to do with something to care for and love and also to be loved! Plus the physical contact helps the overall moral as well.

I was on my way back from Coffee house...and I stopped by the pet house...I saw this little puppies, I don't know what kind of breed was that, but it so cute and white. I badly wanted to buy it but it was too expensive. Just the sight of the littles doggies left me so relieved and so peaceful. Someday I so wanted to have them...badly.... So yes, Having pet is a stress reliever. Thank You so much...I just realized that I need to have them.

Yes, I have to agree that having pets is a great stress reliever. I have recently got a puppy, and the affection he shows when I come home from my work, makes me forget about everything. Since this dog is just three months old, he has not been toilet trained, and he urinates a lot in my hall. This makes my wife go mad, and I think, all my stress had been transferred to her.

oh I remember that stage of having my dog do the toilet in the house but he will stop at some time soon.

I so agree. Just this afternoon, i played with my labrador and bulldog. They play rough and can really make you stumble whenever they jump on you.

Hi insulin! I believe in this. Love my dog when he greets me at the door each day I arrive from work. Love the way he looks at me while he rests his head on my knees. His antics make me laugh and make me want to play with him. Whenever I do, I could feel a light feeling inside of me. Takes all the days' worries away if only for a few moments. Those few moments are enough to make the day light.

I have a dog and a cat, my dog is like a child to me and I love him so much, I worried that I would not love my children as much as him but now that I have two children I realize that I love them all so much. It is great to have animals as my husband sometimes works away and when the children go to bed at night I feel tired and stresses and lonely but with my dog at my side I sit and pat him and I begin to cheer up. Animals cannot talk to us but they can communicate almost as much without words.

Yes, I also feel that my dog is like a child to me. I have a small grand daughter, from my girl.Since my daughter is quite busy in her work, I am not able to meet my grand daughter frequently. So when I got this cute dog, which shows all its affections, I tend to forget my grand daughter.Otherwise, I usually use to get restless, if I am not able to see her at least once a week, but after the arrival of this small dog, I am able to cope up her absence.

sorry to hear that you do not see you're grand daughter so much but it is good that you're dog helps to fill the gaps.

Personally I can honestly say that owning a pet can be a HUGE stress reliever for sure as you have someone who is there for you to love and show you Love back without you having to worry about it like you do a human. They totally become a part of your family and something you will miss when something happens to it. Even with small animals like that they get used to you being around, and having someone watch them and usually Love you in a way that is special as well.

I couldn't agree with you more. I find that having a dog around does relieve some stress and tension. I know that some of my friends, who also have pets, say the same thing. They also find that having a pet is a stress reliever.

Hi insulin: I am a pet owner and I know how stressful can be this responsability but at the same time it's great to feel that you can have this type of company. Sometimes they are better company than human beings. ALVARO

I agree with you. I got a betta splendens, siamese fighting fish, in a fishbowl as a Christmas gift from one of my good friends. And honestly, seeing him swim around in his little world, taking care of him, feeding him, really do have a positive impact on my outlook. I find myself just kicking back on the couch, making silly faces at my fish and stress just drains away slowly but surely.

I also agree with you. I have cats and they make me feel happy and relaxed after a day of work. Maybe because we just love our pets that's why we don't feel stressed when we do things with them or when we watch them. They are so cute!

Pets are awesome for relieving stress and warding off loneliness. I have a little dacshund that is 14 years old now. She has been my adorable little companion from the day I brought her home at 8 weeks old. It's because of her that I get out and walk and exercise. She loves to go places and I feel bad when I don't take her for exercise. I also have two cats that we've had since they were kittens. They are senior kitties now and are on special diets. One of them sleeps at the foot of my bed and always loves to be petted. I talk to my animals sometimes just to get things bothering me off of my chest. The great thing is that my dog and cats would never tell my secrets! haha....

Pets reduce stress,it is beyond doubt. No matter how good friends, there are still a bad mood or temper, and pets is not,it saw you are always so lively, so happy, will be virtually own infected.

They are the best stress busters man could ever have, when i come tired from work the 5 mins of pampering that i get from my dog is one of the best feelings on the world. They have the ability to change peoples mood which is something that even we humans cannot do.
