What is the purpose of your writing or blogging?

I am fond of writing. I love writing. It gives me the freedom to express myself by writing down my feelings and opinions about certain issues. It is a huge part of my life. Before, I used to keep all those things that I write about to myself. I refused to let other people read what I wrote. I was afraid of criticisms, mockery, and all those terrible stuff. But as time went by, I came to realize that it's important to get opinions from others because you get to learn from them. When blogging became popular, I started out with writing blogs about my life experiences just to express my frustrations, my happiness, and my sadness. All I wanted was to pour it all out just to release what I always had been carrying. I never expected people do respond or anything like that. But then there were people who cheered for me to be a better person and appreciated the things that I wrote because they actually could relate. It felt good. I wrote more blogs... and I realized as time went by that I was writing not only to express my feelings and opinions. I wanted also to know if other people can relate. When I realized that there were people who can and do, it felt like I was never alone. Then I wanted to earn money. It felt good to know that some sites pay me for doing something that I have always wanted to do: write. Why not, right? I love writing discussions as well. I could interact with people all over the world, get paid for it, at the same time be able to learn from other people's comments and opinions. I love writing. Blogging, too. And I always will. :)

I have a blog that I post pictures and some text on. That is mostly for me to have fun with and also entertain and communicate with some people. I also write articles to try and help people with everyday problems on a different website.

I really appreciate it when people take time to help out or give sincere advise to others who need it even though they are only strangers to them.

it is true that it's important to know what others think and you learn from them. but i'm still afraid to let out my feelings, i'm too used to keeping them inside i guess. although i'm not good at writing, i do write. i write at hubpages although not often. and i do have a blog, or two actually. one focuses on all the books or novels mostly that i've read and really enjoyed. it's more or less like a list of books that i would like to re-read in the future if i have nothing to do. another blog is on mangas, dramas and animes that i've watched and enjoyed and again, my reason is the same as before. so that i can re-watch/read them again. so it's not really of a personal nature like experiences and life in my case but more like interests. what i enjoy most is that i can write whenever i want. there's no deadline to what i want to write so if i feel lazy, i can just let go for a while and do nothing as i've been doing for some time recently:P that's the best for me.

I write blogs to make money, honestly that's why I'm in this online thing. I'm here to make money. I'm pretty sure you know already know hot to do it. I never really blogged about my life experiences or the things the makes me happy or frustrates me since it gives me no traffic and hence no income. I could understand people like you writing stuff about their life like a diary or an autobiography but it just won't make money if you ask me. I mean it would if you Paris Hilton. Anyway it would have been cool if you posted a link to your blog so we can see it.I have several blogs already.. I have this one and its still under construction, So its still a baby http://triviasgalore.blogspot.com/

Freedom of expression. No one can take that away from us. It makes us uniquely us. We all have our own perspectives and opinions about certain issues. The good thing about sharing your thoughts is others can learn from them.

Absolutely true, You can also learn from others too on their opinion.

When I first started blogging I was just in for the money but soon I realized that blogging is not for everyone and you won't make lots of money overnight. Before I knew it was hooked on writing, and always will. I blog about issues around the world, just about anything that annoying the living s$$ out of me. I sometimes want to get feedback from other people but most important is to give a good message to the world and hope for them to join us to make this planet cleaner, safer, and a happy planet--that's the main purpose.

I have discovered, there are many facets to writing. Here, it is fun to just respond and sound off on different subjects. On my blog ( estherlou.wordpress.com/ ) there are many reasons. Some, I just feel like letting off steam on something that happened to me or my family. Sometimes, I am politically motivated and feel like ranting about something. Sometimes, it is just a fun time of working with words and playing with learning how to express myself better.

I started blogging about two years ago upon learning that in blogging you can earn something. Well, I do have a couple of blogs and from time to time, I update them. One of my blog is more about my travels and adventures considering that I travel a lot with my line of work. I really find it nice to write about things and places that I been through. I do hope to expand more my blogs and perhaps earn more in the long run.

I started mine as a means to share my thoughts on the articles I write in Triond + my Triond traffic is low since I only started in Dec 2010. I hope that a blog can be an additional way to let people know about my articles and my thoughts. Partly for earnings, but more for exposure to a wider audience I guess.

We are the same. I started my blog, http://theparadoxicleyline.blogspot.com/ , to vent all my emotions. I poured all my sadness and my frustrations on my blog. As I continue blogging, I got this thought that I had to stop whining about my problems and started writing for people who might visit my blog. That is the time I started another blog, which is socio-political blog wherein I reacted on news and issues that beset my country. On my first blog, I started talking about my experiences, my travels and the food that that I tasted and any interesting things. Now, last year, I thought of making money on my blog so I started posting paid articles on my site. Although I put paid articles on my site, my goal of writing for my readers is still there. I keep on writing about the places I went to and other experiences that I think will be useful for the visitors of my blogs.

Hi there. I write in varying capacities and genres. Sometimes for money and most of the time, just because I love the act of expressing myself in the written word. The process of writing is one that I find fascinating. And I still love writing in long hand as opposed to using the computer. There is something about how the process flows that feels more natural to me. PS: Love your name by the way!

I write and blog to simply earn and help others earn as well. I have no intentions of being famous, unless I am stricken with some odd chance of popularity, but I do not think so. At any rate I write and blog to make money and while making my money I like to share with others so they too can earn..

Because I like expressing myself, and I think I am pretty good at it. I have always liked it, so I am happy the Internet gives me the opportunity to do so to a greater extent.

Because--however harsh your feelings, or however awesome and wonderful--they don't seem "real" until you manifest them into reality. But some feelings are 'too personal to share in the public media' (even media so 'public' as 'private email'). That's one reason why marriage is so popular among 'young adults' (18 - 35), because it allows them to make their feelings real while keeping them private. (Why you like personal letters better than public newsletters)
