Do you shop at Costco, Sam's Club or other warehosue clubs?

Hi everyone I read some posts on myLot about warehouse clubs and some people said that they can't store the surplus because of the minimum lots they have to buy. Has anyone thought of selling the surplus they have? Even if you sell the surplus items for 1 cent and you can recover the costs of postage/delivery I reckon you have to be in profit. How do I sell my surplus? You could have a garage sale or yard sale or you could sell the surplus online. If you have a look at the site on my profile it offers a cheap way to sell all sorts of things.

I shop at Sam's Club once a month but I also run a daycare. If I didn't I wouldn't shop there. I don't do all my shopping there either. There are things that I know I will use and also sometime they are more expensive at Sam's than at walmart so I buy when it is a good deal for me. I have found quite a few kids movies for a good price at Sam's. I usually spend on average about $100 a month at sam's. I have thought it would be good it I had a vending route but I do not and I don't have time to mess with selling too many things as my time is about used up as it is.

I have no real need to shop at these kinds of stores. I haven't thought about re-selling them or anything...I guess that might be a good idea but I'd rather not even bother. If I had a big family, I might shop at some of these types of big warehouse "bulk" stores but I really don't need it or the quantities of things it sells.

Hi cher913 thanks for your comment. Where I live I have no access to Costco at all.

We shop at Costco - but we only get what's worth buying. I understand the part about not being able to store too many things . . . we live in a small apartment and there is only so much we can store. But certainly we will buy up and store what we think is worth it. Toilet paper and paper towels - it's something we will use up - so we make storage for that. Meats - I portion out and freeze. Water - we keep in the closet. We don't buy stuff that we can't keep here. I wouldn't have the extra time and effort to sell the surplus - I already have enough stuff I just want to get rid of here.

Hi much2say thanks for your comment. It seems that a lot of people are saying that they end up buying a lot of things they don't need or want, one person said they purchased I think it was 15lbs of Gummy Bears because they were so cheap. You sound as though you are making it work for you.

I split the cost of my warehouse club memberships with my parents, and we also split our purchases a lot of the time. Most of the things we buy at Costco and Sam's Club are nonperishable so we don't worry too much about storing items. I think it would be more of a pain to sell surplus items online than it would be worth.
