I'm in a bit of an odd mood this morning. Perhaps its my medication or the unseasonable spring weather in january (shrug). As I was drifting on thru my emails this morning the part of my mind that wasn't into it got to remembering the odd botkins of friends I've had over the years..I seem to be doing that a lot since the heart failure..Human condition, I suppose..And I recalled a favorite phrase my mother used to use to explain the world around her 'Ignorance is bliss!', a common phrase. In my hippie dippie years when I thought my creativity was unmatched I added '..that's why there's so many happy people in the world!' I was quite 'happy' myself at the time. Anyway, long story short, giving a thought to and getting a giggle from the 'happy' people I've known and loved..Have you known any such 'happy' people? Want to expound..? Enjoy!

Hiya greenfeathers, Trust that you are feeling 100 per cent now. I have known happy People that have a song in their Heart for most of the Day. Even when things go wrong they still come up smiling in the end. One of them is my Godfather Jack that´s one another was one of my Friend´s Moms and she was always like that too. My best friend before she left for University was like that but she changed later on but then I saw her much later on and she was back to being happy again. I myself am basically a happy Person but I am only Human too you know I can get those black Days from time to time. Today is not one of them of course.

Ooo yes, I remember one guy in particular that I always classed as being 'happy' and he always made me smile and see the 'lighter and brighter' side of things. I'd known him since primary (we even went to the same nursery apparently) but got to know him better through highschool. We eventually got together and he was my first proper boyfriend at 16; he was my best friend and my first love, but it wouldn't last because we were going in different directions. When we first 'got together' as a couple, everyone said we were 'just right' for each other, like soul mates, but we were very different! I'm the pessimist who often suffers from bouts of depression and more often than not really high anxiety. He was more happy go lucky; he was sarcastic in his humour just like me, but he was very much in touch with his inner child! He'd say and do things that made me laugh, but just being around him, with him saying/doing nothing, was fantastic; it was like he radiated positive energy, so knowing him was like a gift. Unfortunately I don't see him anymore as he's moved to another part of the country, but we occasionally keep in touch. He works for a big computer company now and yet he still manages to be happy and child-like, and it's people like that who are a bit extra special and great to surround yourself with if you can.

Must admit this made me smile as I remembered a few people from the past just saying their name makes me smile. One in particular was older than me and I am going back to those first months in your first job and I was terribly shy. It was Christmas and our bosses took us to a pub for a lunchtime quick drink. My friend thought it would be nice if we all lined up and gave him a kiss to say thank you - it would not happen nowadays! Anyway being shy I hated this idea and she noticed and said not to worry just get in line. I did and when it was my turn she jumped in and took over. I was sooo pleased!! It really was just good harmless fun but if you are shy ... Mind you I have known the opposite where the people moan and moan and this one we called Mona and to this day that name has stuck.

More often, kids are "happy" people.LOL They seem to don't care about a thing in the world. They're all about having fun and having more fun when the first one is over. I've known this old couple just across the street one. They don't have any idea that their electricity was tapped. Didn't know who but I'm sure they're in the same neighborhood, duh. The old couple seem to not care at all. All they did was pay their bills. They were shocked though upon finding out that their electricity was tapped. :(
