I was not able to access websites like microsoft.com and anti virus websites and even websites like ehow.com that talks about how to remove viruses or spyware. I didn't think that it had virus already. So for those members here who had problem some websites and if you are not familiar on viruses. then it might be a virus problem you have in your computer. that is why your browser can't locate the website you are searching for.

What browser are you using, and are you getting an error message or just a blank screen? It may be that there's something besides a virus blocking the contents of websites. Did you already run anti-viral software and discover a virus, or are you just assuming a virus is the cause?

yes i am sure it was a virus. as both ff and chrome was not able to access those websites like avg and other antivirus websites and even microsoft.com. i got this message with my antivirus avira A virus or unwated program "WORM/conficker.IH" was found in file "C:\WINDOWS\system32\vbcgf.dll". Actually when i got that virus i didn't have avira yet. i can't access avira except with text format only. so i accessed it only in text format and no graphics or whatsoever and just downloaded the link of avira. and from there i was able to detect the virus after i installed avira. then i was able to run any websites now normally immediately i removed the virus using avira. no doubt it was a spyware.

Well it could be a problem too with your ISP. I had similar problem with that several days ago and I think it was my ISP having problem with their server that I can only access select sites. But after a few days I was able to access any sites like before. But I know that there are viruses that are really blocking some sites off. So I think you might also be right that you are infected by a virus.

It's really a good news that you have solved your problem...May be it was not to dangerous..but I think you should use a good antivirus so that you don't have to face such kind of problem any more..
