Most of the popular artist the rules the charts nowadays are from Sony records. SOny records had been notoriously known for cheating the charts by paying payolas to radio stations and over promoting their artists regardless if they were talented or not. There is a time when Sony records secret is caught, When Jennifer Lopez is still under them, one of her album is kinda flop so they fake the sales to make sure it will reach the charts, Then when it reached the charts it got sales . since most people are kinda dumb, they wont buy an album if tis not in the top 10 charts. Lets say one day you were walking down the street and someone from Sony records approached you. They will promise you fame and over promote you to make sure you will be famous. But here are the condition, they will give you a make over, They wont let you use your real voice because of AUTO-TUNE, they will lie about your age, wont let you right your own songs. They will pay payolas to radio stations to overplay your songs, they will buy millions of copies of your album so you will be in top 10 charts and people will buy your album and give you super sleazy music videos.

Hi Captain, Actually this was an advert of a campaign here in india for a TV show (there are many these days that are inspired by the one - "American Idol") but the first to be telecast did this for promotion and I think it still gets on air per year... I never am a good singer and I know that. But despite that I know that these music companies can do wonders using their technology and I would definitely sound good when on their records and going by the current trend of the Videos I think it defintely is a good opportunity and I must get that if they approach... The only catch - there are millions of people around and they would definitely take a long long time to reach me

sometimes they just randomly pick people and if they were willing to do what they what to do whether they can sing or not, they will make that person famous. They will invest to that lucky person by giving them some singing lessons (that is useless anyway because of technological wonders) can you imagine you will be on every channel or every radio station. To the point you will have haters and obsessive fans who will be blinded by the hype. While singers who are very talented are struggling to promote their songs at their myspace accounts.

Unless this fake success gets over me, I think I would be happy doing an alum (just one) and then quit because there are many others in the queue... and of course, the great singers and artists always have a hard time facing the struggles phase and only a few of them make it to the limelight... That of course is a reality and there is no saying no to that.

On the other Hand Ke$ha is making a lot of money by talking, as in she is not really singing she just talk and autotune makes it sounds like music.I remember when i was like 12. Out of a sudden every 45 minutes a commercial that congratulate Britney for getting a number single in the US is over played in my country. In just few months, everyone (except me) is like a Britney fan. Just because of a commercial that says she is number 1. To be a Sony record artist lack of pride and conscience is a must. I do think some of them have talent but for sure they have the advantage of being under Sony's care.

I wouldn't be interested. If it's not my own..forget it. I am a writer...and people have asked me to ghost write or to write their stories....I won't. I only do my own. So sony would have to find someone else!

Many people who were artist actually swallowed their pride because Sony offered them fame, they threw away their identity as a singer and an artist to be a Sony record artist. I saw childhood videos of Britney she can actually sing but Sony wanted her to sing like a Robot.

Most likely as I said they will lie about your age, Give you over the top music video and costumes. You wont even need to make a concert tour since Sony records will do the job for you as long as you wont ask for artistic freedom. They will give you fame and money. Plus you dont need to worry about singing live because there is already an autotune mic.

LOL! The only way that Sony (or any other record label for that matter) would approach me is if they did not use my real voice and "cheated" on the sales charts. I love singing, but I do not have an false notions that I am any good at it. I would not agree to those terms, though. I actually have no desire to be famous and have my every movement scrutinized by paparazzi and such. I would rather anonymity and to live my life as I like without the constant criticism that comes from fame and fortune. I am sure that there would be tons of others that would jump at this sort of chance, however, so all is not lost.

Have you been abused by a Sony Executive????. This is complete rubbish, Every record company promotes their artists, you may not agree with their view of the talent and your point about auto tune is nonsense.

I will discuss two or three more conditions with them before signing : they will not use my name, and they will use somebody else for the photos and video clips. It will be perfect then ! I don't sing and I don't want to be a famous singer, but I will gladly accept the royalties .

I think that sounds like no since they wanted you, Most of the singers they make famous didnt really like the image programed to them.
