My girl friend is suffering from pain ...

Hello there ... Is any one doctor here ? Two days ago my girl friend felt too much pain in her stomach, and so we visited a general physician. He asked me to get a ultrasound of her and then report came in which a stone has been found in her kidney and he gave some medicine and dieting plan for that but there were a bold marked field in the report and has been written - "Left Ovary cyst size 48*49mm is seen.." When I asked him about that he said it's not a serious problem... now just concentrate on stone, later we will see this after getting a fresh ultrasound after 3 month .. But some of my friend is saying it's a serious problem and I should visit any gynecologist and get advice as it can become worst case ... Do you have any idea about this ? Thanks,

I agree with others here and advise your girlfriend to see a gynaecologist as soon as possible. Ovarian cysts are not necessarily serious; I’ve had one and I was fine, but it is up to a specialist to ensure that all is okay or prescribe appropriate treatment. Good luck...

She is going through medical treatment. Today also we are going to have another ultrasound instructed by doctor... Lets see what will come today and all the future medicine and treatment depend on today's test result ... Thanks...

You should really bring her to a gynecologist. She needs a doctor specialized in the said field and not just a general physician. Her stomach aches might be brought not just by the kidney stones but by the cysts in her ovary. It should be treated ASAP to avoid serious complications like myoma.

hi sincerefriendship don't use us lay people's suggestions as we are not qualified. Get her to a ob.gyn as soon as possible and also see the kidney specialist for kidney stones as neither condition can be safely self treated. by self crap'you save ininitally but will pay at lot more as she well become critically ill and end up staying a week or two in a hospital. seek good medical advice.

hello, You should seek second opinion,that is a must. Look for a specialist,(ob-gyne) before things get worst. It's better to know the real condition on this early stage rather than regretting later. Pray for a better result too.

There are a lot of woment that suffer from ovarian cysts (and I am one of those women). However, I think that the doctor is right in saying that the kidney stone is the more important issue right now. Kidney stones can cause a lot of pain and can also cause obstruction in the kidney which can be fatal at times. I would go ahead and make an appointment with a gynecologist, but it doesn't have to be something that is done right away.

I'm a nursing graduate and my only advice for you is to take her to a hospital and get her checked up. Don't ask in forums or anywhere online, you will not get a rest assured answer here.
