Dreaming of your ex-significant other, being alone brings weird dreams

Its been about 6 months since I last dated anyone so I am guessing my mind is playing tricks on me but last night I had a dream of a woman I used to date. What bothers me is that I was going to give this woman a second chance in my dream. In reality she was very possessive and jealous, she used to get jealous over my kids and used to go through my caller ID on my house phone and cell phone. She used to answer my phone all the time to make sure everyone knew we were dating. We had only been seeing each other a few weeks and she informed me that she wanted an engagement ring for Christmas, mind you she had already been married 3 times. So what bothers me is that out of all the people I could of dreamed about it was her. I am sure most of it is that I have been alone and am starting to feel those pains of being alone but subconsciously couldn't I have picked someone better! Maybe at the subconscious level I am always destined to pick the worst choice...lol
