City Curfew

Ive been talking to a friend earlier... And he told me a bit of a sad story. Apparently, his young foster brother has been arrested and jailed for assaulting and sexually harassing a younger female. His foster brother doesn't live with them anymore but they just had some recent communication through a social network. His foster brother is now living on his own, and is involved with gangs. So then what happened was that in the morning newspaper somewhere in the states, he read a story about his brother. That he was in fact, going to jail for those charges. His brother is 18 years old. He got out of their house when he was 14 and was since then involved in groups. It's a very sad story, especially because they are very close up to now. I think one step or solution to these kinds of problems would involve city curfew. You know, not allowing minors to roam around the streets late. Many may not agree to this. If I were younger, and if a curfew was enacted in our city, I certainly wouldn't have liked it. But seeing society now as it is, with such crimes being committed by younger population, I can see why curfew was even invented. I believe that implementing this could help prevent juvenile crime and protect the youth from victimization. It certainly won't eradicate the problem, but at least it would help lessen it. What is your view in this?

Ah,in the city to achieve the curfew,I think this is a good idea.Indeed, the temptation of too many cities at night, but young people's self-control is relatively poor,so there have been some criminal acts could have been avoided.

Hi. Well, you touched on something rather complicated. How to curb the rise of criminal activities or eradicate them completely. It has always been said that to solve the problem of crime, we need to get to the root of the problem. But unfortunately, we can't seem to agree on what really is the root. Some say it's economic. Others say it's morality. I even heard some argue that it's in the psyche of the person, and is not influenced by external factors. But I'm not really in favor of implementing curfews. It seems like an unfair approach since the juvenile delinquents are only a small percentage of the youth population. I'd rather that we improve our justice system and really prosecute and jail those found guilty. Again, there are factors to be considered. But I'll end my response here. See, told you it's a bit complicated :)
