I am hoping that the National government makes a law in connection of this case. No public officer, whether local or national, elected or appointed should continue to be a public servant when involved in drug using or possessing. If a certain public officer is involved to drugs, he/she has to be ousted from office. Rep. Ronald Singson, son of Chavit Singson has pleaded guilty of drug trafficking in Hong Kong. Philippines and Hong Kong have different concepts on "Drug trafficking". In Hong Kong, the mere act of bringing drugs in Hong Kong is considered trafficking regardless of whether such is for personal use or with the intent to share it or distribute it. The Representative testified that he had done so because of his frustration after arguing with his girlfriend. Though, he also acknowledged having used cocaine on and off since 2004. With this case happened, I am hoping that this should not be taken for granted. All public officers should undergo drug testing. I have to simply say, I agree with you my friend. They thought they are always on the top. Karma is really the proper term.
