Hey Chris Matthews, were is the Panama Canal again?

I wonder if Chris Matthews knows what color Gen. Custer's White horse was... Who's buried in Grants tomb, or how often he looks up to see if "gullible" is written on the ceiling. It seems the lefty louse is either geographically challenged, or illiterate. Mr. Matthews, for the Kewpie doll and what is left of your honor back, in what country would we find the PANAMA canal? (Note, I understand that anyone can make a mistake, and those canals can get a bit confusing, but out of all the waterways to get your brain twisted around, you'd figure he would catch the hint that the Panama Canal is NOT in Egypt. http://newsbusters.org/blogs/noel-sheppard/2011/01/29/palin-and-bachmann-nitpicker-chris-matthews-says-panama-canal-egypt

Going out on a limb, I think he may have meant the Suez Canal. What a frickin idiot! It has, of course, the Nile River. It has, of course, the Panama Canal. I think it's made funnier and more ridiculous a mistake by the fact that the Panama Canal is named for the country Panama, which I can't imagine Chris thinks is in the Middle East. Some people didn't pay attention in Geography class, I guess.

Uh-oh, we'd better put him in prison or something because he misspoke...lol! I really try not to take it too seriously when someone else says something that admittedly sounds pretty stupid since I've had my own moments when my brain knew what it meant but it came out of my mouth wrong. I know Chris is one of the most disliked members of the media for conservatives but even if you don't like him or agree with him you have to admit he's not stupid. He's also clearly not perfect! Oh, I'm sure he simply misspoke, and meant the Suez Canal. I laugh about this more than anything. However, Chris Matthews is relentless at making fun of any conservative misspeaking, even to the point of lying. So, sorry, the piece of trash doesn't get any allowance here. He makes millions of dollars skewering conservatives for any faux pas, so he doesn't deserve any quarter when it comes to his own.

He's an Obama worshipping oaf. He's put a bullet in his mother's head if he thought it would score brownie points with Obama.

They don't call his show "Hardball" for nothing...lol! To be truthful, though, I've seen him skewer liberals pretty bad too when he feels they deserve it. Did you happen to see when he talked about that idiot whose name now escapes me that said Guam might tip over if the population got too high there? I think usually when he picks on conservatives it's for more than a simple misspoken word or name. Annie

I hadn't heard of this till now. One can only imagine how many threads there would be on this if it had been Sarah Palin to make such a mistake. Heck, I remember the people flipping out when McCain said "Czechoslovakia" Instead of specifying Czech Republic and Slovakia.

I think it's karma. He spends so much time calling all conservatives "stupid" and "balloon head", he was bound to have his nastiness come and bite him in the butt eventually. I know it's a silly mistake, but I think it's important to point and laugh at him. He needs the humility that humiliation can bring.

Pretty funny actually. It's hard to believe that even Chris Matthews could be that stupid. Well, maybe not... In all fairness, it was probably that he just misspoke and substituted another popular canal name for the Suez. But couldn't you just hear him yammering about how stupid the person is that made such a gaff if it were a conservative talk show host or politician? He himself would be having a field day with it, but since it was him, the left stream media ignores it. Business as usual...
