So Texas got snow today and I decided to make snow ice cream. I looked online for recipes and found that is was super easy. Sugar, milk, vanilla extract and snow! So I did that but then decided to get creative. If you want to have Banana Split Snow Ice Cream all you need to do is add a banana some cinnamon, and a little bit of cocoa to the above mixture. It really tastes like a banana split! Try it out and let me know what you think!

Unfortunately we are only getting ice right now, so next snowstorm, I'll consider this..As one who lives in Ohio and sees snow every year, I would suggest the best way to collect the snow is to put a clean container or cup outside, but not too low. I say this because even if you don't regularly have dogs or other animals roaming the neighborhood, I do and so I place the cup higher than a large dog can lift their leg..lol Plus gathering it straight from the sky, I feel, is cleaner than scooping it off a car or something..

I just heard about this snow ice cream last week from another member here at Mylot. It sounds pretty tasty. We have been getting a lot of snow here in PA so maybe one of these days I'll make some with my kids.

Snow ice cream id something that my Mom made for us every winter when it would snow. I have made it for my kids and grandkids when we were getting a nice snow. I would use canned milk. Never thought about adding bananas or any other fruit. With all the snow I should try it again

I used to make snow cream when I was little. It has been forever since I have. I bet that banana and cinnamon really did spice it up! Great idea for snow cream.
