I just ate a plate of a very small piece of chicken fried steak and some nude potatoes with cabbage and some corn and tortillas like about 30 minutes ago and I am hungry again!! Do you think it is this very cold weather we are having here that I am not used to? Ot could it be something else? How do you fix this not being hungry all the time? Do you have this problem?

Try upping your protein intake. That should help curve the hunger pains.

It's funny you should mention this because I was just thinking to myself "how could I be hungry right now? I just had a big dinner." I had a big piece of chicken with a lot of potatoes on the side plus some spiced pumpkin pie for dessert. I was stuffed just a little bit ago and here I am hungry and trying to decide what sounds good to eat right now. I don't know how to fix this "not being hungry all the time" because this doesn't happen to me all the time. Sometimes I won't eat much and I won't be hungry for the rest of the day but sometimes, like tonight, I'll have a big meal but then I'll be hungry again a short time later. I don't mind though. I eat when I'm hungry and I don't eat when I'm not.

You just made me realize how hungry I am right now. I don't know if it's normal but at times I used to be hungry whole day. It's very funny though because I am a thin guy and you wouldn't imagine me eating that much.

Jaher- The hubby and I started Atkins three weeks ago for weight loss, and it's been the best switch for me because I'm not starving all of the time. You may want to try eating some more protein if you're hungry. Do you have any chicken left? If you really have had your intake for the day of food, you could try drinking a glass of water, or even a cup of tea or coffee. Sometimes at the end of the night even though I'm not hungry, I get cold (It's going to hit low temps here again tonight) so I'll have a cup of decaf with a bit of splenda and cream. It's just enough to warm me and leave me with the full feeling but not stuffed. So, how do we fix not being hungry? We are trying to lose weight so our daily intake is less than normal, but the key to not being hungry is getting a balanced meal of good carbs, fats, and proteins. If someone is not trying to lose weight the avg intake of carbs is between 40-80 grams of carbs per day. These should be mostly veggies, but can include your extras like whole grains, etc. When you have carbs you want to make sure to have enough proteins because the proteins help to regulate your blood sugar. And don't deprive yourself of a snack. My favorite snack this week has been sugar free jello with homemade whipped topping. Takes just a few minutes to whip up the whipping cream, and yummy! I also drink 60 oz of water per day. I suppose it differs for each person but the problem with most is that they end up dehydrated because they don't get enough water. It also helps to fill you up. You may not be keeping up with your metabolism today. it all depends on the foods you eat and the activities you are involved in. Sometimes we burn calories faster and we are hungry more often.

Consume food that contains lots of fibers, or food with little calories then you can consume more of it, thus giving your stomach the feeling of beeing full... :) I always have some peeled carrots in my fridge for my little hunger, I grab one if I feel hungry and that is a healthy snack :) It could also be something else ofcause, have you previously been used to consume more food? Then the body has gotten used to that it takes more food to get the satisfaction of beeing filled.

Try to drink more water. I'm myself admit that I'm just a little bit overweight. I try not to think of food, I drink water everytime I feel my stomach growls before meal time comes. I said to myself, 'okay just 2 more hours', 'oh I have to call my mother first'..etc, things like that to postpone the meal time.lol..
