Hleium and ChaCha - what a bust!

I am so disappointed.
I have already shared the trouble I have had with rating articles on Helium. I've tried to do it different the last two days and still have not recieved a rating star. That means I cannot post articles even though I have writing stars!
Probably going to delete my account if that is possible.
Then I worked ChaCha! all month...had over 6000 points which means I answered 3000 questions. I got a whoppin' 88cents!I love my ptc sites right now! They are slow but steady and I can make a lot more than 88 cents a month.
I'm just mad = trying to find ways to make money from home so I can care for my son and this is what I get! ugh! Anyone else ever been frustrated with sites that seem to be wonderful and are really out there to screw you?

Hello, Macdingolinger. You should still be able to post articles on Helium, you just can't earn page view income without a rating star. However, if you write to Marketplace titles, you can still earn upfront payments and transition credits, so I'd suggest you concentrate on those until you get your rating stars back.
I find that rating 5 pairs of articles for every article I write is enough to keep my 5 rating stars and get the $3 rating bonus each month. Not much, I know, but it all helps. I have a link to my Helium page on my profile. If you want to hook up with me over there, I'll see if I can help.

Hey thanks for the input! I really appreciate it. I actually haven't rated or added in the last few days. I had no stars, then 2 stars and now still 1 star! All of that change without me rating anything for days! lol! For some reason I thought that I couldn't add articles if I didn't have rating stars. I'm glad you cleared that up because I can put a few up there now! I knew they earned only when I have rating stars...guess I got confused! I have probably been doing too many too. I usually did ten pairs.. but dropped it down trying to figure out what was going on! Thanks again and I'll look you up!

So sorry for your frustration! I have an account on Helium but haven't been there in months, as I never did "get" the system.
What I do online for $$$ is on my myLot profile. I'll say that Gather is, by far and so far, my best social and writing networking site. Although, recently I've been busy at Squidoo and loving it there and hope to make this into a money-maker by the end of 2011.
I have trouble with paid social/writing sites, as I'm more of a poet than a writer, and poetry doesn't fare as well as other writing genres. But, I'm adapting, and I have a great following, so I expect one day my break will come.
Don't you give up!

I have read so many Cha Cha discussions and was a bit interested. In fact had my internet not gone down for the last seven days I might have joined. All I read was how great they were.
But now that I read your discussion, not so much.. Thanks for the awareness and boy do I know the disappointments well as I only earn on line, so slow indeed. If I come across something really great someday I will be seek you out my friend as I know you are taking care of your son and earning on line is important to us.
