Friendship and Trust is it really important?

My best friend that I've had since 2nd grade has always been so sweet and trusting, or so i thought. but last week, i told her who i liked, and she swore that she wouldnt tell a soul. but this weekend, another friend of mine called and asked if i liked the guy the one i actually do like, so i was like NO WAY R U SERIOUS!! WHY WOULD you EVER think something like that? and she was like "Well, your best friend told me that you did, and she was serious." and then she told me about how my "BFF" told me friend that i had told her who i liked, but i couldnt tell my BFF that i knew she said this. since i didn't want my other friend to think i liked this guy i had to lie and tell her that when i told my best friend who i liked, i was just kidding. Now i'm really sad and confused. What should i do???
