Do I need permission to screen movie trailers?

I am the self-proclaimed director of a local film festival. We operate on a shoe-string budget so we are always looking for ways to do thing for free :-) We would like to screen a series of movie trailers so I was wondering if I need to ask the various relevant production houses for permission or if I can just go ahead and screen the movie trailers?
