Does This Drive You Crazy????

There have been a few times when i've started a discussion, and only after submitting it,thought of something more i would have liked to add, or should have added and now, because the post was submitted, it's too late. I know the best thing to do is plan your discussion beforehand, or write them down first.but even when i do this, after reading it over,i feel like i've left something out or should have added more to it.but, there it is and there it will stay. So i'm interested to know,do you ever feel like you should have, or wanted to add more to your discussion and does it drive you crazy knowing that theres no way you can do anything about it?,or,are you mostly satisfied with however your discussion turns out?

hi jujnme I think perhaps a lot of us have done the same thing on posting and then wishing I had added this or explained that better. I think 'we should have a second edit button we can hit quickly when we realize we wanted to add something. I mean before anyone has time to respond of course. I have added a little something at times in some of my first comments back but thats not really too helpful either.

Hi Hatley: Maybe someone else will respond who knows why there isn't an edit button here, which would be so helpful since we wouldn't have the need to post something more in the response box and it would save getting frustrated by thinking we left something out.A lot of internet sites have this feature and of course sending e-mails also allow you to edit your messages, so i wonder why Mylot doesn't

hello jujunme, Yes, this has happen to more times than not especailly here on mylot. It also happens when I write articles or I see a better picture or I think of some thing better to say and it has been posted. Then I thin should I edit it and will it make a difference or gone from there. I usually move on and see if I can add it to the next topic or article. Thanks and have a great day Sincerely unique16

Actually it's good to know i'm not the only one who has gone through this at one time or another since everyone who has responded here, goes through this themselves. but, as you mentioneed, it is best just to move on and do the best we can the next time. You have a great day as well

I have wanted to edited many of my discussions after it was too late. The reasons have run all the way from typos to something left out(as you mentioned) to having posted them in the wrong topic. If not an edit function, at least a delete would be nice so we could have a do-over.

i would really like to see a "delete" or "edit", just think of all the mistakes that could be corrected, plus being able to add whatever we feel was left out.as far as putting a discussion under the wrong topic, that can also be frustrating as well, since we never know how many responses it would have gotten ,if it was put under the topic it belonged in.

Yeah, this happens to me. It doesn't exactly drive me crazy. When it happens, I take a deep sigh. But, then I just continue on.

Well, i don't mean literally "crazy", lol but, sometimes when i go to read my discussion over again,i think of something else i could have added and it's a little frustrating.

lol... i thought i was the only one who that happened to. i am alway submitting discussions and then realizing that i could've said so much more...or realizing that i spelled something wrong...it really irks me...i am really particular about details and stuff. people actually get annoyed with me because i am always correcting things...anyway i am assuming you like to write because you seem to put alot of effort into your discussions. i can't honestly say that i write rough drafts and stuff of my discussions but i do like for them to show what type of person i am and have the right tone instead of just writing any old random crap just to get paid..

lol, no, you're certainly not the only one and oh those misspelled words, the reason there's not so many in my discussions is because i keep going back and forth changing whatever words i misspelled, but 1 or 2 always seem to get through no matter what. Plus, forget my reponses to discussions, i'd be rich if i were paid for the times i misspelled words in my responses, i don't know why this is and it mostly happens with words like "also"which i type as "aslo", or "what" becomes "waht"if this was just once in awhile i could understand it, but i do this a lot and don't have any idea why.

Sometimes, after I have submitted a question, I think to myself..."oh, I should have worded it this way" and it would have sounded better, but unfortunately there is no edit button, so I have to keep going. I do like to write my questions down when I think of them though, it makes things easier and goes much faster for me.

I just wish there was a way to be able to add more, or re word discussions the way we originally wanted to.i just can't get over the fact that the second i hit that submit button,is when i think i should have added more or as you mention worded something in a different way.but, i do agree writng your questions down beforehand is a good thing to do and does save some time.

Hello, strangely, this has happened to me a awful lot of times, I've since then started taking more and more time writing down my responeses

Yes, it is a good idea to take your time before submitting a discussion or a response, trouble is, i don't always do this.i think i need to learn not to rush into posting my discussions, which i fear i sometimes do.

I often have this problem, I always wish they have the option to edit or something within an amout of time after posting, I think it will be a good feature. Maybe at least we can post comment under your own discussions so you can add what you want to say more.

I totally agree it would be a very hewlpful feature.Just think of how satisfying it would be to know you included everything you wanted to say, plus, correcting any of the mstkes you might have made.

Hi Jujunme, I will just wait until there is a response, then I reply to the response. There is no harm doing that. If the discussion thread becomes popular, you will have to think of something to say to all the people who leave a comment. I have a few discussion threads with more than a hundred responses. It takes a few days to reply to everyone.

Yes, i also respond to my comments and sometimes, you're able to say what you may have left out in your discussion, depending on the response you receive. Replying to all your responses is very difficult, especially when you get so many,(wow! over a hundred responses , that's really something) but, as you mentioned, you can't do it all in one day and i would think no one would expect you to.

I have had a ew moments when I thought of something more to say on a topic but it was already posted. i wish there was a way for us to add something even after we have submitted our posts. It can be discouraging when you feel you have left some things unsaid.

Those "few moments" are so disappointing, since that's when you realize you wish you could have added a little more to your discussion. yes, i also wish there was a way to add something after submitting

Hello jujunme, Generally I see my bad grammar... and it is too late for a correction. It "drove me crazy" once : I have started at myLot only one discussion needing a photo... and of course I forgot to post the photo . I waited for the first responder, and pasted with the tactfulness of an elephant the photo on his box . The reason why we can't edit or delete our lines looks obvious : we are paid by myLot for what we are writing and we can't delete discussions and responses already paid. But I heard that a discussion with no response was not paid, and I think it would be a great thing to authorize us to edit or delete a discussion started and with no response yet.

OMG, "with the tactfulness of an elephant", that is just a great line, really. Also, you make a very good point as to why we can't edit or delete the discussions but, i also agree that if it has no responses there would be no reason why we couldn't possibly edit it or delete it completely. What drives me crazy is my misspellings not only in my discussions but in my responses as well, since i always try to go back and correct them before i submit anything.but somehow,i always manage find a few misspelled words and know there's nothing i can do about it.

I often encounter this. After I had submitted response ,suddenly it hit me that my response was not proper or there were omissions but It was too late, what was done couldn't be undone.

I know that feeling all too well, very frustrating.especially when you think the discussion would be more interesting if you just added a little more to it.but, as you mentioned "what's done is done" so why get too upset.

Look,i want to ask you a personal question. What is the main purpose you have here in mylot,i mean if it's not for money ok,you can complain about people write not right words or so.But if you want money desperately and you have written 44 posts for an hour like i have, you wouldn't care if you have made a mistake

It happens all the time.So the best thing to do is read over and over again.Think twice or thrice whether there is something missing or you have to delete a sentence before hitting the send button.

I do reread my discussions before submitting them, mostly to correct any misspellings i may have, or to re phrase a sentence. After posting this one,i came to realize that sometimes i'm just too anxious to get my words down and am afraid if i don't do it right away, i just may forget what i wanted to say.that's why i do think it's best to write down the discussion beforehand with "everything" you want to say, this way, when you post it here, you won't feel you left anything out.
