awesome movie. I just love it, v\even though many critics don't think it's that good. I like everything- the cast, the location, the dialogue, and the story. It taught me lots of stuff abut people and way of life... Do you like this movie?

Hi Lady That movie has been around for a while I am not a huge Tom Cruise fan but I did watch a little bit of it but just couldn't get into it I did however like the movie SHOGUN with the late Richard Chamberlian which is similiar to this one

Oh, I haven't watched Shogun, but I shall look into it. I don't even know Chamberlain. At the first few minutes I though I wouldn't love this movie, the acting was pretty good among the Japanese though.

Yes, its really a good movie and in fact I can not remember how many times I have viewed it.Its sad that producers now a days made only few like this one, which is based mainly in facts.Movies today are fast-paced and unbelievable which would not happened in reality.A highly recommendable movie by Tom Cruise.

I have watched it tons of times too- I'll never get bored of it. Yes, it's really sad why only few moovies these days are as good as this- but I prefer fantasy than historical movie usually.

I like this film it is one of few films that actually give a idea about the samurai lifestyle. I think the main character is really played well and the fight scence at the end is really good too. Its a good and enjoyable film to watch but I am not sure how historically accurate it is.

Tome Cruise fits the character an American military counselor embraces the Samurai culture he was hired to destroy after he is captured in battle.

Yes, I also think Tom Cruise really fit the role- I can't imagine anyone playing the role except him. His Japanese here was good too. Thank you for your response.

You should definitely see this one. If you like movies about Japan, Samurai- or just other people's culture and way of life you'd enjoy this. It's a good drama too- about war and love for country.
