Hello Lotters,
I don't know how worse my teeth could have been but it's not as pain as it was before. like the other response said that it could have been taken effect depend on the food we eat. recently, am avoiding spicy foods and juice.
Last time I mentioned how painful my teeth was and now it's alright with some itchy here and there a bit. but that's not the shocking PART
. the shocking part is the Prescription.
Dalacin C 150mg #12 - 3 times a day
Ponstan 500mg #6 - 3 times a day.
So, Did i Misunderstood? the # I do remember my dentist telling me to take it for a week. but the pharmacist before, now supported by my mom said that this is Number of Pieces and Not days (WHAT!!
). can you imagine how many times i have taken this antibiotic Last YEAR? now I recently bought more than 25 pcs. of this medication...not to mention, i have separate Occassions that i have taken either 500mg or 250mg Amoxixilin TABLET.
Then, my mom said, that's too much already..Now, am afraid, that the antibiotic may not take effect. but am gonna complete it this week, probably support it with Amoxicillin (or not). Can't you believe how expensive this was!

Recently i found a secret that "the dental problems not only for childrens, and all ages people are suffering with this problems, that is why so many sophistacated dental hospitals are growing rapidly.".
Daily two time brushing is helps for us.
In india we are using COLGATE tooth paste, which is so trusty product.

Hello Letran!
It's normal to take antibiotics in a week so that the bacteria will die and will not come back. You are right, better complete your medications in a week,I know you wouldn't want to go back to the dentist if something worse happens just because you did not take your medicines in full prescription. I suggest don't take the amoxicillin 'cause it might lead you to overdosing. The ponstan is for pain reliever, you can stop taking it as soon as you are not feeling pain anymore.
Take care!

Hello Guanlao
,
so far, it's not having pain unless i eat something spicy or drink juice or not putting a cotton in the hole of the teeth. am not sure how much i have taken this much since last year or simply a few days after buying those anti biotics.

My love affair with antibiotics started October of last year when my cough would not clear up. This love affair went as far as December and I had to say enough is enough because I wasn't getting any better. I didn't take the last antibiotic prescription given to me which was just last week. My doctor tells me its just because of my asthma. But I don't think so. And true, it is very expensive because it takes half of my paycheck each time I get my prescription filled. So I am broke and an antibiotic junkie now on a rehab

Oh ok that is really a pain when things like this happen in our lives. I would say slow down on Antibiotics as this is not good for your liver in the long run. That is why prescription is only given for a week only because longer than that it may not be as helpful anymore.

That is how many you have to take daily???
I am not an expert, but maybe you should double check your dentist on this one, that sound like a lot take in one day, and I have had bad toothaches, so I know I didn't take that many..

Hi LetranKnight,
I never can read the prescriptions these gentlemen
write here and also believe that these chemists
too act on their whims when handing out their interpretations of these prescriptions to us.
If possible get a re-consult on the prescription as I can feel that the medicines can be bad for health if they are not in accordance with your health and you too are unsure of the number of tablets thing.

I can only imagine how expensive it is as it is here also. But as for the antibiotic make sure you do complete the full treatment to assure the bacteria is completely gone. As for the pain medicine only take if in pain.
I would definitely consult the dentist after the treatment to make sure the infection is gone. Best of luck Letran, as this tooth pain has to be a pain in your tooth. lol, thought I through in a little cheer.

ps. Sorry if I over stepped but I couldnt resist a small lol today
