ICC finally banned the Pakistani trio...they have taken a hard stance against the spot fixing...though they have been handed different bans Butt for 10 years Md. Asif for 7 years Md. Aamir for 5 years These persons not only have tainted their names but their country's image...a shame. Good thing that the ICC has set things in the right direction...hope everyone learns from this..

All their teammates also knew that these players were guilty. Huge amounts of unaccounted money was found in their bank accounts. The proof is so strong that UK police is charging them & if found guiltry they will face 5-6 years Jail term. I feel that justice is done. Only Aamir, because of his young age can hope to play for his country again ( after 5 years). at last ICC has woken up to the fact that strict action needs to be taken to clean up cricket.

I feel a bit sorry for Aamir. He's only a young lad and a huge prospect for the future. I know he cheated and should be punished but I think only a two year ban would be enough. Lets face it we've all made mistakes when we are young when we don't fully appreciate the consequence's. It should have been up to someone like Butt to stir him away from trouble like this but Butt had his own adgenda's and failed the young man.Aamir is a easily influenced man, and this is not a crime, I think he's been manipulated and naive and has not got enough life experience to see what's happening around him.

They really deserve this. These Pakistani players have bought a great disrespect to the game of Cricket. This is the reason why westerners consider us as cheats. This is not sufficient, just look what the BCCI did, they banned Md.Azaruddin for life.No TV Channels takes his views, and he was supposed to be one of the best captains of India, after S.gangully.

I.C.C. has taken the right decision I feel in banning the three players. There should have been an exemplary punishment for these match fixers to prevent the others following the lure of fast buck and I.C.C. has rightly done the same. Butt and Asif have finished their carriers because by the time the ban will be lifted they will bwe too old to play. Aamir may still make it as he is still young and only 5 years term. Let this be lesson to the cricketers all over the world and play their game with the spirit it is famous for.
