Ptc bots for real?

i'm a newbie in the ptc world and to gain knowledge in this field i read forums from the ptc's i joined...but sadly i came up into a thread which states that some site specifically neobux uses bots as their rented referrals..Do you really think its for real?do you think it is wise to invest in this so-called "bot site".. thanks for your reply!!
