What benefits people will get from practicing meditation? What I know that practicing meditation is from Buddhism. Does Christian also used meditation technique from Buddhism? Why is it I saw one of the member's comment in a Buddhist forum that he said, he's meditating 'our father'. Is it the prayer 'our father' a Christian prayer?

You learn to calm down. You learn to breathe. You learn to be at one with yourself. I am practicing it right now.

Meditation is a technique which is, or can be, used in all religions. It is a process of clearing the mind of all 'personal' concerns and opening it to communication from 'outside' ourselves, whatever you personally believe that 'outside' is.
Meditation is different from prayer, though it may use prayer as a way of entering the state proper and it may use some prayer words or concepts to help focus the mind on particular things.
