A Reason To Live...

Each and everyone of us were blessed with lives. We were all born to live a life on earth. And, when our time is up, death will knock at the door. When that is, we do not know. But there are some beings who opt to take their own lives. That is puzzling because the natural course of a human person is to do one's best to survive. Even stage 4 cancer patients look at that tiny bit of hope that life could extend longer... The people who commit suicide must have ran out of a reason to live, like the loss of love or the passing of a beloved. But whatever it is, there is a certain sadness when we hear stories of people losing that reason to live, and eventually losing their own lives. I do hope that we could be the reason to live for the people we love... R U ?

if they can see jesus in our lives and if we can show them christ there will be no reason for them to end their life.

Hi eileenleyva, I agree with you, it's very sad when someone feels that there is no reason for them to live. We must be the reason for our friends and family. I feel that if we look after each other as we should there would be no reason for anyone to give up on life. Blessings.

We all have reasons to live, even though life is not fair in so many ways. We have family, friends, ones that depend on us, and that we can depend on in those times. We all have some level of self-preservation, the hope that tomorrow is better than today, and also a level of survival. It is sad when someone takes their own life, however I have always and will always feel this is the coward's way out. No one told us or promised us life would be fair, just, and easy. You do what you have to do some days to get up and be thankful for all that you have. And although it might seem that everyone has it better, it is a fact of life that there or others that are far worse off than anything we can imagine. I always remember a saying that I learned from my mother.......but for the grace of God go I.

I can't say I live for anyone in my life. I live for myself. I am single. I have no children. I have no rommate. I don't live near any of my family. So I pretty much live for myself. I don't, no one will!

Hi eileen leyva: First of all thanks for this beautiful words. They are so good I love them. I agree with you and I usually try to find hope and inspiration from God and from the ones I love. At the same time I think that this world is really beautiful now matter how many and big problems we have. There are reasons to work and to make our own efforts to make things better. I think that's a good reason to live. ALVARO

Hi Eileen. I don't think anybody will run out of reasons to live. Nobody in his right mind will take his own life. For sure, something snapped. The only reason I could think of is insanity..tsk...tsk.

The difference lies on the word called "Hope". Hope is the main motivation to make the most out of everything. If you lose it you're a goner.

Well, I was scammed numerous times from friends I thought I can trust, and even the girl I like, she doesn't even like me, and she scam me before too. So, I probably can be the one who should be live without hope. Anyway, I am not ready to die yet. Although I am stupid, and not that street smart like some people. I learn and I will pick myself up again. I will do better for tomorrow. I won't let myself down again.
