My new step- writing children's story book.

Friends my main aim is to be a children's book author. To write a story one should have very good language skill. I am afraid, definitely I don't have that much of language skill. So I planed to write for small children's picture books. To write a picture book one should not need much language skill. But writing a picture book is not at all easy. the author should think by pictures; should know child psychology etc. After finishing my fist book only I realized getting published a picture book is very very expensive, because of its colorful pictures and high quality paper. I was asked 4500€ to publish the book. As it is toooooo much I let my manuscript sleep in my drawer for two years. Suddenly I got a chance: 1. I can draw the pictures on my own 2. I got 30% discount. I had to pay only 350€ with the pictures. Now one of my relative is drawing pictures for me with no cost. I don't like to miss the chance. So I planed to publish the book. 350€ is not at all a small amount. My poor hubby paid for me. Please friends, share your views in this matter. there are so many thing that I still don't know in this field. And I want my friends to wish me success.
