What do you want to see in the news?

I share the same sentiment. It's been so frustrating to watch news because all I see are stories of carnapping, money laundering, killing, fire destroying lives and houses. Sometimes, I feel like not watching news anymore. I don't know exactly how to get rid of such bad news because it's the journalists' responsibility to deliver to the audience current events and happenings. Also, bad news are inevitable. Sometimes, the issues are becoming more controversial and sensationalized by media. At times, they emphasize too much on the crying or the actual fighting, and it's not a pleasant view on screen.

As a persons delveed in the media industry, I am sorry to tell you that this patern of news reporting nd delivery will not change. Why? Becuase it sells. Despite that harsh grain of truth, I wish to commend you for the question/topic discussion. For my bit, if I had an opportunity, I would like to see some variety in delivery of every news item as well general approach of the program. I would like to see some light and comedic moments that can balance the negativity of some really bad news. Also, I would like to have some audience particiaption regarding realtime viewership. In the delivery itsef, I think a very capable anchor or anchors should be chosen that can be a cross between a host and a news reporter.

That is one of the reason that I don't watch news all the time, just once or twice in a week... It's always the same news, murder, rape, car napping, thieves, robbing banks... nothing seems so surprising anymore- even the most heinous crimes.. I want to see people pay for the bad things they've done ,especially the rich and those in authority. All we see on the news, are their trial in courts....
