What would happen if a human had a spine that was completely straight instead of being curved like a normal spine?

We would sit and stand erect. But we couldn't bend down or do other activity which requires flexibility.I'd say it is good bye to sporting and other related activity.Though i must add that many problems of the spine which requires one to sit erect will vanish.

The spine is a flexible cord and has vertebrae around it for protection. These vertebrae are comprised of small bone structures which rest on each other with pads inbetween them.Due to the flexibility of the spine and the vertebrae we are able to bend forwards, backwards and sideways. If the spinal cord had been a stiff rod like thing then our body would have lost its flexibility. We would not be able to bend either way. Moreover if we tried to bend then the spine would snap and we would either get completely paralaysed or die.Everything in our body has been made perfectly and put touse accordingly.Again if the spine had not been present then we would never be able to stand or walk upright.

Well, then we wouldn't have slouchers anymore. If our spine was completely straight then there would be nothing holding us back from standing up straight and even sitting up straight. Our spine is arched because we make it arch, our spine is sort of flexible like that. Nothing would happen if our spine was completely straight except the fact that we wouldn't have hunchbacks anymore.
