I was listening music on a website and give review without knowing what is the song's name and it's author. It was a good song and the melody was beautiful. But after I give it a review of happiness, I found that that song was under a sad song track . Am I have a different taste of songs??? I am confused...

Well that was a nice thing which u just did now. I also like sad songs sometimes. I listen to this when i am lonely and they seem to cheer me up. I especially like Boulevard of broken dreams by Green Day. The music seems to break into my body and pull my soul out. I just love the way i hear that song . It's like a heart beat for me. I can feel heavenly when i listen to it! Cheers!

I like Green Day too. And there are a lot of sad songs are popular. Many of them can really get people moved and get the feeling as the lyric songs.

Probably you have been influenced by your emotions thus giving an opposite to what the song is supposed to be. Sometimes it does happen. When reviewing we have to have a clear head and not adopt the present situation you are in. It can distort your views when the lyrics are clear that it is a sad song but given a happy reviews. The owner/singer of the song will surely find you odd.

Hi Marmot. I don't think that you are confused at all. The song just touched your heart quite a bit. You are very sympathetic and keen to wonderful music. I love music that has smooth and relaxing melodies. It is nothing wrong with having a different taste in music. Music can reach deep down into our hearts and soul and it has a way of taking complete control over our emotions somehow.

I totally agree with you. Music can reach deep down in our hearts and soul, sometimes it even can control our emotions. I love music.

I'm a little confused... you liked a sad song and it made you happy? I don't think that's bad. I don't even think it's unusual. I know that there are loads of songs that come on the radio and are supposed to be sad and angsty, but as soon as I hear the opening notes I start smiling and singing along at the top of my lungs. Even though it's a sad song we relate or we love the song so much that it actually makes us happy to hear that song.

Ohhh... okay. Well maybe it just got miscatagorized... or it was a sad song for that particular artist. I can't say without hearing it myself.

Actually, I mean that I didn't know why that song is a sad song. Because I heard happiness from the music, not sadness. But it is true that I like some sad songs, there are a lot of sad songs are the top musics and a lot of people enjoyed them.

We appreciate songs in our own ways. Different people has got different level of understanding to certain things, especially when it comes to songs. Some find meanings in the song while some take it as a reflection of their life. It does not matter how u rate it and there's no right or wrong to it. A happy song can be a sad song for some others when they find that the lyrics seems to be talking about their life.

Depends upon your interpretation of the song - if you understood it as a happy song then for you it is happy song. It's like how people take negative things to positive light. Looking at a glass half full rather than half empty. )
