How Bad Do You Want A Plumper Tushie???

http://www.cnn.com/2011/CRIME/02/11/cosmetic.surgery.death/index.html?iref=NS1 I was surfing the net this morning & accidentally found the above link. It's telling about a woman who was unhappy with the way her tushie looked & made arrangements for cosmetic surgery in her buttocks area. Not having the funds for a "licensed physician", she made arrangements for a cheaper way to get what she wanted. A friend knew somebody who was willing to do it cheaper. All she had to do was go to a specific hotel room at a specific time to get her silicon injections. Needless to say, things did NOT work out as planned & she passed away while receiving her injections. As bad as I'd love to have my 25 year old tushie back, I think I would have enough common sense to know a bargain in a hotel room by an unknown person is NOT safe!!! Near the end of the item, a local doctor said... "In our cluster, these patients had to be hospitalized," she (Dr Tina Tan) said, adding that injection procedures should be performed by licensed health providers. "We do not recommend going in a hotel room with people who you don't know their credentials." I'm sorry...even WITH credentials, WHY would anyone feel safe meeting anybody in a hotel room for ANY procedure that is normally done in a doctor's office due to health concerns??? ALL of this story confuses me!!! If I read it right, this woman & 3 others flew from England to the US in order to save money fixing their tushie. Maybe I don't know enough about England, but couldn't they have had it done cheaper in England than the price of an airplane ticket PLUS the cost of the procedure??? WHY would anyone trust an unknown person in a clandestine meeting in a hotel room next to the airport to do any type of procedure on them??? What are your thoughts on ALL of this???

Ahh, Lady...."there is nothing new under the sun". Some people are just suckers for a supposed bargain. Personally, I wouldn't want anyone working on my butt or my face or my arms or any other parts of me especially after seeing some of the disasters that have occurred after reputable plastic surgeons here in the States have finished their work. Have you seen some of these celebrities? I don't know anything about the English surgeons but I'm sure they are just as well trained as ours. And plastic surgery is expensive. So these people were led to believe they were getting a great deal. I can't understand either why they thought going to a hotel room to have the procedures done would be legitimate. "Let the buyer beware."

Well yoyo, I consider myself to be one of the elite of the bargain hunters; but even I would NOT consider this tushie enhancement a bargain!!! This woman paid the ultimate price & NOBODY even got to see nor admire her new tushie!!!!

Hmmmm....I've never heard of Black Madam. Have you? Looks like she flew de coop!!! $1800 is what it cost as the 'bargain'. As you said, that amount as well as the plane tickets and other expenses could've probably paid for a legal procedure.

I can understand cosmetic surgery when it is actually medically necessary to be able to function better but, beyond that, no way! Some people are just plain stupid. The REAL problem is when one of these stupid people is a leader because others will follow them. Yeah, it only takes a tiny bit of common sense to know that any meeting in a hotel/motel room with someone you don't know is questionable at best. Then, there's that saying, "You get what you pay for." So, there you have it. I wouldn't mind looking 25 again but only if it was natural. I mean, I see photos of Cher these days and she looks like a clown. When she smiles, her lips reach around her head and meet in the back from her face being tightened so many times. It just looks wrong. Our bodies are aging. The sooner we get comfortable with how we're aging, the happier we'll be in our own skin. I was kicking and screaming at first but now I'm quite relaxed and at ease with growing old. Oh, I don't like it but it's an inevitable thing so, as long as the inside is aging, the outside may as well go along with it. You see, when you get old, people tend to let you get away with a lot more than if you were younger. You can fart in a crowd and no one will say a word to you. You are forgiven for forgetting things. You get doors held open for you. You get a seat on the bus. Yeah, there are advantages to aging so why look young on the outside when your inside is begging you to slow down? Now, if I could just lose weight like I did when I was younger, THAT would be awesome!!!

Freakish Looking!!! - Even though there are times that I wished I looked better, I truly don't want to look like her!!!
I do understand what you're saying!!! I started the decent into Seniorhood kicking & screaming. Then I realized the advantages!!! I save a fortune in cosmetics!!! Go to bed with me tonight & I don't look any scarier when you wake up!!! We have a woman in our town who has to be 80 something. She had a b00b job years & years ago. Now everything is sagging & bagging except for her b00bies!!! She looks ridiculous when she's walking down the street...much like the pic below!!! http://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-300903.0.html Look at Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton,Priscilla Presley, Lisa Rinna, Melanie Griffith, & Meg Ryan. They all had the money for "professional" procedures & they look like freaks!!! Phyllis Diller always said that she had been tightened so much, her belly button was in the middle of her forehead. Sometimes I wish I still looked 25, but I am soooo much happier & content with myself now, that I NO longer complain!!!!

Because men tend to look at them & they are more comfortable to sit on!!! ALL kidding aside, when I was younger, mine was tiny, yet firm & round. Now it wider & flat. Clothes looked better on me way back when!!!!
