As you all know, Mubarak has resigned from Presidential post, and army has taken over power in Egypt. It is not good to have army in politics but its on people's side so there is no need to panic. I just wanna ask you mylotters that what would be the future of Egypt. Army will rule this country, kamal khan will be next president or Al-Bardei will play a role. Please share your views.

The people of Egypt will accept or rest only with democracy in one form or other. Military rule may not last long. Military may introduce a democracy to suit their style of functioning. However I am not sure whether these measures will in any way improve the status of common people. Egyptians only will be able to tell directly on this. best wishes

The army is not on the peoples side. The army is still arresting people who were connected to the initial uprising even though they are supposed to be supporting the people.

Most conservatives speculate that it's likely that Egypt continues to be ruled by an authoritarian government or becomes an Islamic Republic (as Iran). However, I don't think they consider that we're in a new age, where authoritarian regimes suffer from intensifying protests and popular organization due to the new technologies such as Twitter and Facebook. A good example is Iran in 2007. Even though the last Revolution from decades ago had lead to the creation of an authoritarian regime, the young people concerned with the country organized themselves to protest and defend their rights guaranteed by the UN etc. I don't know what will happen with Egypt, but I hope it's the best for their people and they avoid wars...
